Somebody is a big fan of Miley's new album. "She's got an incredible voice," the "Roar" singer gushed to E! News. "She's got a set of pipes that are incredible."
Although she found Miley's VMA performance to be quite "tacky," the rocker still has respect for the pop star. "She's really freaking talented," Pink said. "She's beautiful. She can sing her ass off and to go up there and do that? She's cheating herself and she's cheating the rest of us."
The actress, who played Hannah Montana's mom on the Disney Channel series, didn't exactly approve of the performance. "I just want to know who's advising her, and why it's necessary," Shields said on Today. "I mean the whole finger thing and the hand and Robin [Thicke] probably at that point was going, ‘I don't think this is a good idea.'"
Unlike some celebrities, the American Idol star was far more forgiving. "Listen if it wasn't ur cup of tea—all good but why is everyone spazzing? Hey—she's doin something right. We all talking," he tweeted to fans.
Some call it twerking, others see it as something entirely different. "When I was growing up, that wasn't called 'twerking.' That was called a ho move," the View cohost told Jay Leno. "Oh, she's going to hell in a twerking hand basket."
The "Believe" singer always keeps it real. "I don't give a s--t if she comes out naked," Cher declared. "Just be better, do better."
"I think anytime you do a performance that is that memorable, you're going to have criticism," the pop superstar explained. "I think she's doing her thing. She's being herself, so I give props to her."
Team Miley has another A-list member. "You know what? Miley is living her life, man, and who I am to judge?" he told E! News. "Miley, if you're listening, holler at your boy!"
Cyndi doesn't want to have any fun with Miley. "That was girl gone wild. So sad, so sad," she said after the VMA performance. "I just felt like that was so beneath her and raunchy, really raunchy. It wasn't even art."
The Project Runway host is divided when it comes to Miley. "On one side, I like that she pushes the envelope and she owns it. There is right now no one who is like her," she told E! News. "But at the same time, do I want my girls to dress like that? I don't. Do I want my girls to look up to the way she performs? No, I don't."
The rocker is singing her praises for the former Disney star. "It's actually really funny cause my managers also manager her," Lavigne told E! News at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. "She is doing her thing right now and she is kicking ass, so good for her."
Was Robin Thicke's wife offended by the raunchy VMA performance? Not exactly. "I don't really know what the big deal is," she said. "I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking Molly!"
Who knew the Donald would be such a fan? "Miley, don't let them get you down. They're jealous," he said through a video message on Vine. "I just think it's the VMAs. It's not like she did it at the Grammys. Let her do her thing."
Never one to shy away from the spotlight, the Fame Monster recently declared her support for Miley. "I just think everybody needs to lighten up and leave her alone," she told Andy Cohen. "It's pop music. Everybody's entitled to their own artistic expression, and if you have a problem with it, just change the channel."
The America's Got Talent judge has nothing but love for Miley's twerking skills. "It was very entertaining," Cannon said after her VMA performance. "I appreciate her twerking. I think it's her prerogative…twerk away."
The ‘N Sync band member slammed the former Disney star's onstage antics. "I didn't know I had to warn [kids] their little Hannah Montana was going to be naked and humping a finger," he said on his Sirius XM radio show. "I think she shocked a lot of her younger fans, especially the parents."
What does daddy have to say about all of this? Nothing but good things! "Miley harnessed into something very special. She's just Miley. She's an artist, she's real," he told Piers Morgan. "I think that's what's happened over the years, Miley has been reinventing her sound. She's evolving as an artist herself."
"I don't know that I have a definitive thought in one direction or the other about it," Timberlake told Matt Lauer on Today. "I think she's really smart, and I think she's really talented. I'm not saying I agree with the presentation..."
The "Rocket Man" singer is worried about the young star. "I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen," he reportedly told The Australian. "And she's so young! But she's got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?"
The KISS artist is standing up for Miley in a big way. "I don't understand why people got so upset," he told Rolling Stone. "Whether you stick out your tongue or shake your tushy, all the other girls are doing the same thing."
The So You Think You Can Dance judge isn't a fan of Miley's antics. "Of course, kids are always trying to break the mold, but I didn't really care for it, to be honest with you," she told E! News. "I think she could have done the same thing with something a little bit more on and something more classy."
The 90210 star didn't hold back after watching the music video for "Wrecking Ball." "WTF is up with Miley's new music video?" she tweeted to followers. "I mean, I don't know the girl but if I did I'd demand she bath twice, put some clothes on and give her a big hug...looks like she needs it."
"She is super talented. We made a lot of great records together," the rapper told E! News at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. "She is talented actually I think beyond all the extra publicity."
