Goodbye and good riddance 2014, and helloooooo 2015!

The new year finally is here, and it's bringing a lot of exciting TV with it.

From the highly-anticipated return of beloved TV shows after a super-long break, to the premieres of new and sure-to-be-hit series, and so many more, there are some pretty great TV events to look forward to all this year.

So break out your calendars and check out the top 14 TV events we're most excited about in 2015 below!

FOX

Glee's final season: It's time to return to McKinley High one last time, as Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) leaves behind her Big Apple and Hollywood dreams for the comfort and familiarity of her alma mater in the final season of the Fox hit musical drama. We're excited to get one last season's worth of download-worthy tunes, but we're not going to lie: we're also extremely nervous to see what kind of drama goes down before Glee bows Friday, March 20th at 8 p.m. for it's two-hour series finale. At least we know all the couples are going to get a happily ever after!

"You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending," co-creator Ryan Murphy told us of some of the rumored plot lines. "I've spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers' room that says, ‘What do the fans want to end that show?' And our endings are all very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out. I am."

Marvel's Netflix shows: Netflix is getting on the latest TV trend with four new superhero shows, each one more epic than the last. And with Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as AKA Jessica Jones and Mike Colter as Luke Cage, we're more confident than ever that Netflix joined the comic book game just in time.

HBO

All the changes and new characters coming to Game of ThronesYeah, we're as bummed as you are that Hodor (Kristian Nairn) and Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) won't be in season five at all, but that's okay...since we're getting a butt load of new characters! And that's not all, since there are some major changes (from the books) heading our way: flashbacks will be shown for the first time ever and fans will get to meet a brand-new character that isn't in the books, played by Lost alum Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Lifetime's Whitney biopic: Oh, we are here for this Lifetime movie. While this flick won't dive into the messy end years of Whitney Houston's life, what it does show is as juicy and fascinating as we'd expect. Plus, Yaya DaCosta slays as the iconic singer.

Tina Fey's new show Unbreakable Kimmy SchmidtTina Fey plus a TV show equals instant favorite. There is no way this Netflix comedy starring The Office alum Ellie Kemper and 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski will fail.

ABC

The new season of The BachelorIs it just us or does each season of The Bachelor just get nuttier and nuttier? Nope, it's not just us...it's the women competing for the heart of the hunk of the season! This time around, the ladies are vying for a rose from Chris Soules, and it's not hard to see why. That smile! Totally swoonworthy.

Fox's EmpireThis delicious look at the dark, sexy and competitive world of the hip-hop music biz is one crazy ride, but we are all about Taraji P. Henson's turn as ex-con/diva Cookie, who has just been released from a long stint in prison and is determined to take back the company she believes is rightfully hers. She steals absolutely every scene she's in and gives new meaning to the term "resting bitch face." We wouldn't want to meet her down a dark alley, but we just can't get enough of her on the show!

Return of Playing HouseThank you, USA Network, for finally, finally, finally renewing our best TV friends (and one of the best shows on TV!) for another season! Time to break out the artisanal cheese and hedgehog cupcakes.

NBC

Tina and Amy hosting the Golden Globes one last time: Chalk this one up to something we're both excited for and dreading, because yay for another awards show hosted by our favorite celeb BFF pair Fey and Amy Poehler, but also boo...because it's going to be their last time co-hosting an awards show! Let's savor this one while we can.

The premiere of Last Man on EarthThis is seriously the comedy we're most looking forward to this year. With a star-studded cast filled with the likes of Will Forte, January Jones and Kristen Schaal, and a super hush-hush attitude about any plot details aside from the fact that it chronicles the life and adventures of an average dude (Forte) who just might be humanity's last hope, it's going to be one of the most surprising new shows of 2015...in a good way.

SNL's big anniversary: Get ready to feel super old: Saturday Night Live is turning 40 years old this year. Whoa. And the NBC late-night comedy show is celebrating the big 4-0 in style, with a star-studded three-hour long special airing on Feb. 15. Better start lighting all those birthday candles now to make sure you get them all lit by the time the special airs!

Starz/Sony Pictures Television

The return of Outlander after a million years: O. M. Freakin'. G. It seems like it's been forever since Outlander aired its steamy and shocking midseason finale, so you can only imagine how much we've been jonesing for some new Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) action. And humblebrag alert: we've seen the next three new episodes of the Starz hit show, and it's got all the sexy, swoonworthy scenes you could possibly want! Fans will not be disappointed.

True Detective season 2: After all the casting speculation and announcements that have been swirling for months now about the second season of HBO's hit drama, enough is enough: we just want the darn thing to premiere already! Partly because of the star-studded cast (Colin Farrell! Vince Vaughn! Rachel McAdams! Taylor Kitsch! And Rick Springfield?!) but mostly for all the buzz surrounding the sophomore outing.

Fargo heads back in time: You're darn tootin' that we can't wait for Fargo season two! Not only is the FX hit drama going to star Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, but it's going way back in time to serve as a prequel season! Sweet. Season two will focus on Keith Carradine's character Lou Solverson in 1979 and the often-referenced case he worked on in Sioux Falls. You betcha!
