According to Reese Witherspoon (and four other celebs), it's time to start adjusting your hems.

If you live on the East Coast, you, likely, haven't had a chance to fully embrace cropped jeans. Well, the snow is melting, and flowers are blooming, which means it is officially time to show off those ankles! And because jeans will never not be in fashion, do it with denim.

With a pair of cropped denim in white, your wardrobe is bound to stay bright and fresh. Put a ladylike spin on the way you wear them, like Reese, and throw on a button down (of any color) and a cute pair of pumps to ensure your look is appropriate for any scenario.

The perfect crop will hit you right above the ankle. This is especially important when you're rocking a darker shade—it's less noticeable on a lighter wash. Like Kelly Ripa, go casual with your black cropped jeans. Sneakers and bomber jackets will keep the outfit feeling extra cool.

Note: Black, in general, is sophisticated, which means it's easy to dress up if need be. Mix style and comfort by slipping on a great pair of heels and top it off with a clutch for a chic night on the town.

Frayed denim is really on trend right now—Alessandra Ambrosio knows. Add distressing to the mix and you've got yourself a really cool pair of pants. Because you don't want to take too much away from what's already going on, add mules to your outfit for a subtle and modern touch (plus they're comfortable). Tuck a shirt in on top and you've got the perfect breezy weekend outfit.

Like Julianne Moore, you don't have to give it all away at once. Trench coats, dusters and even long cardigans can be impactful style tools. Use their length to leave little to the imagination. Choose a true-blue shade of denim (the bolder, the better) then roll your hems—the ultimate It-girl move.

Pro tip: If you're wearing ankle boots, like Naomi Watts, your hem line should hit at or below the top of the shoes. When wearing lighter shades, like grey, details really show. If you're hesitant on whether or not yours do, trade them in for block-heeled shoes. With cropped flare jeans they always look good.
