It's seemingly become a trend to be amicable exes in Hollywood—and we're totally cool with the latest fad (here's hoping it's permanent!).

Both Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy, who recently called off their engagement after four years together, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, who announced their split in March after more than 10 years of marriage, are prime examples of the fact that it is possible to be friends with your ex—particularly when there are kids involved in the equation.

Hudson and Bellamy, who are parents to 3-year-old son Bingham (the Almost Famous star also has another son, 10-year-old Ryder, from her first marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson) most recently reunited in Aspen ahead of the holidays where they appeared nothing but cordial during their pre-Christmas vacation.

Clearly, the pair, who, when they announced their separation said that they "remain very close friends and committed co-parents," are putting their children first.

"They seemed very cordial," an eyewitness told E! News of Hudson and Bellamy's outing in Aspen, noting that the blond beauty was not wearing her engagement ring. "Friends are with them. Kate's brother is there too. Overall, it looks very friendly and not romantic."

Likewise, Paltrow and Martin are closer than ever since announcing their decision to consciously uncouple, constantly reuniting for family outings and even supporting each other in their subsequent relationships.

"Their relationship is better than ever since they separated," a source told E! News last month of the Oscar winner and the Coldplay musician, who have two children together, Apple, 10 and Moses, 8. "They have found something that works really well for them and their children."

"They truly love one another and think the world of each other, they just aren't a couple," the source added. "They will spend the holidays together and make sure the kids know they are always going to be a family."

According to Page Six, the former couple most recently stepped out with their children for an afternoon of pampering at Tribeca's i-Plaza Nail & Spa. Per the report, the two "were laughing a lot, making jokes, and Chris even had his arm around Gwyneth."

As for another pair of amicable exes whom we totally admire? Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, who are planning to spend Christmas together with their 4-year-old son Flynn despite the fact that they split in Oct. 2013.

During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show, the TV personality applauded Bloom on the pair's ability to successfully co-parent, noting that it's "so important" to which the Hobbit star replied "it totally is."

Kudos to all three former couples!
