These days, reality television is all the rage. And you don't necessarily have to be famous like Diane von Furstenberg in order to be on a reality show. In fact, there are countless celebs who got their start by doing reality television.

But while we associate certain celebs (like Kelly Clarkson) with the reality shows they first found fame on, there are other celebs such as Beyoncé and Emma Stone that we tend to forget made their first appearances on reality TV!

Here's a list of the celebs that we totally forgot became famous on reality TV...

Bill Rancic

He's the star of Giuliana & Bill and is married to TV journalist Giuliana Rancic, but Bill's first encounter with the spotlight was when he was a contestant on (and won) the first season of Donald Trump's The Apprentice.

An established entrepreneur, Bill is also a motivational speaker, Chicago real estate developer, and the host of American Now with Leeza Gibbons, in addition to hosting the Food Network's Kitchen Casino.

Jennifer Hudson

Another American Idol alum, Jennifer was in seventh place on the third season of the show back in 2004. But since then, she's come a long way!

Jennifer has gone on to star in a series of movies, which include Dreamgirls and the Sex and the City movie, and she's also won numerous Grammys. See her on American Idol in the video below!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Sure, she's a sassy former host of The View and currently a co-host of Fox & Friends, but in 2001, Elisabeth was a contestant on the second season of Survivor, where she ended up finishing in fourth place.

The following year she married NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, with whom she has three children. Watch the clip below to see Elisabeth when she was on Survivor!

Katharine McPhee

The American pop singer and actress got her start on American Idol, where she finished as the runner-up on the fifth season in 2006.

Since then she's starred in the musical drama series Smash, The House Bunny with Anna Faris, among other films, and she's been nominated for several Teen Choice Awards. Watch her American Idol journey in the video below!

Nicole Scherzinger

A former member of the girl's group Eden's Crush, Nicole first drew attention to herself when she competed on the WB reality series Popstars. In 2003, she became the front woman for the Pussycat Dolls, and these days serves as a judge on The X Factor.

One Direction

These days they make girls scream all across the world, but there was once a time when Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were just a group of regular guys who were trying to make it in the music world.

The English boy band gained recognition when they competed on The X Factor in 2010, finishing in third place. Since then, their three albums have topped the charts and broken countless records. In the below video, watch the boys sing their hearts out as they get a step closer to victory on The X Factor!

Lucy Hale

Lucy, who is known to many as Aria on the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars, was one of the five winners of American Juniors—a reality television singing competition series.

Since then, Lucy has gone on to star in numerous films and shows, but her music days are not a distant memory. She released her debut studio album Road Between in 2014. Watch below to see Lucy on American Juniors!

JT has been a performer since he was just a little kid! In addition to being on The Mickey Mouse Club with Christina Aguilera and other fellow stars, he competed on Star Search when he was only 11-years-old, singing a country music number, no less!

He's clearly come a long way and is one of the key players in the music industry today. He also gets to call Jessica Biel his wife! Watch below to see JT in a cowboy hat crooning a country song!

Miranda Lambert

She's Mrs. Blake Shelton these days, but in 2003, Miranda was a finalist on Nashville Star, where she finished in third place prior to signing with Epic Records.

Britney Spears

Britney's first big break came when she performed on Star Search, then she eventually came into her own and became the biggest pop queen around. She still continues to perform and draws huge crowds wherever she goes, although she's opted for a more settled life as a mother these days.

Check out Britney belting out a pop ballad in the clip below!

Laverne Cox

She's one of the main characters on Orange Is the New Black, but back in the day, Laverne competed on the VH1 reality show I Want to Work For Diddy!

Clearly she doesn't work for Diddy these days, but there's no need because now she's an Emmy-nominated star on a hit television series! Watch the promo for I Want to Work For Diddy below!

Emma Stone

Would you believe that Emma, who is now an A-list actress and dating Andrew Garfield, originally competed on the reality show In Search of the New Partridge Family? Yeah, we couldn't believe it either, and apparently the show never made it past the pilot. But onto bigger and better things now!

Watch the clip below to see Emma singing on the show!

Jamie Chung

Jamie's first time in front of the camera was as a cast member on The Real World: San Diego, but these days she has made a name for herself as an actress and is doing extremely well for herself.

She's starred in Sucker Punch, The Hangover Part II, as well as on the TV series Once Upon a Time, to name a few. Her reality television days are clearly a long way behind her!
