Jennifer Hudson Performs Pitch-Perfect Whitney Houston Tribute at Grammys

Where do broken hearts go, indeed.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards had already started off in singular fashion, with LL Cool J offering up a prayer for the late, beyond-great Whitney Houston following Bruce Springsteen's show-opening performance.
But the most wrenching, yet paradoxically uplifting, moment of the night belonged to Jennifer Hudson, who overnight was tasked with presiding over the musical tribute to Houston, who died just yesterday afternoon.

The Grammy folks are tearing up the script to Sunday's show in the wake of Whitney Houston's shocking death Saturday.
The show's producers confirmed to E! News that Jennifer Hudson will be leading a musical tribute to Houston, a six-time Grammy winner.

We've been wondering what the holdup is about.
In May of 2010, E! News caught up with Jennifer Hudson at the Cannes Film Festival and asked what the dealio was with her long engagement to fiancé David Otunga, and the starlet reassured us that she is getting married and that their wedding was, in fact, "coming up."
Well, that was over a year ago and still no nuptials. Weird.
Now, Star magazine's latest issue is reporting that the whole shebang was called off because the duo are "clashing over Jennifer's career obsession, commitment issues and reluctance to have more children."

And for all your dislike of the dude, he's an obvious fan fave. Obama turns the big 5-0 today, but with the debt deal sealed, he got the celebrating started yesterday.
