Now this was Jason Aldean's kinda party.
The platinum-selling artist dominated the field with six wins tonight, including Artist of the Year, at the 2011 American Country Awards, where the fans pick the winners and the winners have to go to Vegas to pick up their Fender Telecaster trophies.
But when there's good music, good humor and girl groups with names like Pistol Annies, what is there to complain about, really?

Carrie Underwood was glowing at the 2011 CMA Awards, but was that due to more than just the gold sequins?
OK! Magazine is reporting that Carrie Underwood is expecting with hubby Mike Fisher, saying her pals told the mag, "Actually there's even some speculation in her inner circle that she may already be expecting. She's had that happy glow about her for weeks.
"The biggest sign for everyone is the fact that she's completely stopped drinking. Carrie usually loves having a glass of champagne once in a while, but lately she's been skipping it. She didn't even have one sip after hosting the CMA Awards, which was really out of character."

The nominations for the 45th Annual CMA Awards were announced this morning, and the usual suspects were all present and accounted for.

If American Idol champ Scotty McCreery and fellow finalist Lauren Alaina ever feel they just need someone to talk to, well, look no further than Carrie Underwood, kids.
"Both of them are going to have a lot ahead of them and there's really nothing I can tell them that will make any of it any easier," the country cutie told E! News before last night's big show when asked what advice she has for Scotty and Lauren. "Maybe I can give them my number, both of them."
