UPDATE: A witness told E! News that a swam of paparazzi and fans were waiting for Bieber as he and his entourage arrived at his hotel and that the singer appeared upset he could not get through the crowd. He punched one photographer and grabbed another by his neck as his bodyguard tried to restrain him. It is unclear who instigated the violence, the witness added. No injuries were reported and no charges have been filed.
It's Justin Bieber vs. the paparazzi, round...we've lost count.
On Tuesday, the 20-year-old singer was photographed getting into a scuffle with celebrity photographers in Paris after arriving at a hotel around 11 p.m. with members of his entourage. A photo released on Wednesday shows him surrounded by several paparazzi and appearing to try to punch one of them. Another pic appears to show the singer's hand near another photographer's neck. A rep for Bieber declined comment. No arrests have been made.
The photographers have not been identified and have also not commented.
Bieber has in the past been accused of acting violently against paparazzi and others. The singer has never been convicted in any of the cases.
On Monday, Bieber's attorney appeared in court on his behalf over an assault and dangerous driving case. The charges were filed a month ago in the singer's native Canada over an ATV crash. Police say the singer got into an altercation with an occupant of a minivan that was involved in the collision. His lawyer blamed the incident on the "unwelcome presence of the paparazzi" during the singer's visit home, according to CTV News. The case is pending.
Celebrity photographers constantly follow Bieber, who has a massive fan base that has remained loyal despite his legal woes.
In 2013, he and a celebrity photographer got into a confrontation in London, prompting Bieber's bodyguard to restrain the singer. No one was arrested. In 2012, a celebrity photographer told police that Bieber assaulted him as he was snapping photos of him and girlfriend Selena Gomez at a shopping mall near Los Angeles. The singer was not charged in the incident.
Bieber has also made headlines over confrontations with non-celebrity photographers.
In July, while vacationing in Ibiza, Bieber got into an altercation with Orlando Bloom. Sources told E! News it began after the singer made a rude comment about the actor's ex Miranda Kerr. Neither actor was charged or has commented directly about the incident.
In January, Bieber was charged with assault following a confrontation with a limo driver in Toronto a month earlier. The case was dropped in September.
