Earlier today, E! News confirmed that the "Come & Get It" singer secretly completed a two-week stint at an Arizona rehab center last month. "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," a rep for Gomez told us, adding that her rehab stay was not connected to issues with drugs or alcohol.
"She's never been better," a source also told us of Gomez post-rehab. "She's strong and great."
So were there signs that Gomez was struggling with personal issues? Here's a timeline of Gomez's road to her secret rehab stay.
Nov. 26, 2013: Gomez finished her Stars Dance Tour, which played 55 dates across the U.S. and in Europe.
Nov. 28, 2013: On Thanksgiving Day, Gomez performed during the Dallas Cowboys-Oakland Raiders halftime show in Texas.
Dec. 19, 2013: Selena canceled the Australian leg of her tour to focus on herself.
Dec. 22, 2013: Singer posted an Instagram picture, writing, "I'm the happiest I've been in a while.. So blessed and thankful for the future, for release and to finally be happy for those I loved."
Dec. 24, 2013: Gomez spent Christmas with her family.
Dec. 28, 2013: Gomez attended the star-studded opening night of Britney Spears' Piece of Me show in Las Vegas. She posted on Instagram, "Sia!! Thank you soooo much for taking me to Britney!!!! Ahhhh"
Jan. 1, 2014: On New Years Day, Gomez posted on Instagram from the previous night with the caption, "Apple cider and my girls Happy new year my loves love you all endlessly"
Jan. 2, 2014: Gomez was spotted hanging out with ex Justin Bieber near his gated community. Two days later, Bieber shared a PDA pic of him and Gomez hugging with the caption, "Love the way you look at me."
Jan. 6, 2014 - Jan. 20, 2014: No social media activity from Gomez for two weeks.
Jan. 20, 2014: Selena uploaded an Instagram photo from the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. During the festival, Gomez told E! News of her "dark" role in the film Rudderless, "I find myself comfortable in that stuff—I don't know what that says about me. It's a good contrast to what I am all the time and being on tour and all that life."
Jan. 23, 2014: On the same day that Bieber was arrested for DUI in Miami, Gomez stepped out in L.A. and was all smiles. During the day, she picked up some cigarettes while running errands then grabbed dinner with BFF Demi Lovato in West Hollywood at Craig's that night.
Jan. 24, 2014: Gomez brought back her bindi and hit a pre-Grammys party in downtown L.A. where she hung out with pal Ashley Benson.
