Mariah Carey has no problem doing some dirty work.

Nick Cannon just told me that his wife—get ready for it!—cleans up after their eight Jack Russells.

Yes, the songbird picks up their poop.

"Probably more than I do," Cannon said from the Iams So Good dog event in NYC. "She doesn't have any problem with that. She loves taking care of her dogs. She's just a regular person."

And guess what the couple just got? A new Jack Russell puppy.

"His name is The Reverend Pow Jackson," Cannon said. "He's two and a half months old and it's cool because we're here hanging out with all these other dogs."

But he's probably the last four-legged friend they'll bringing home for awhile. "Eight is enough," Cannon laughed.

We'll forgive Carey if she isn't curbing the pooches these days as much as she usually does. She's still recovering from a dislocated shoulder, cracked rib and a chipped shoulder bone that she suffered after falling about three weeks ago on the set of her Cannon-directed video for the remix of "Beautiful."

"She's feeling a lot better and taking it one day at a time," Cannon said.

And trying to stay out of her signature heels.

"She's only in them when she needs to be in them, like when she had her [Hurricane Sandy relief benefit] concert in Central Park," Cannon said. "She's just being very careful."

The singer was spotted on her way to the concert wearing a sling that matched her gown.

"It was truly an honor to perform with world renowned NY Philharmonic," Carey tweeted following the show. "In spite of the pain, I wouldn't have ever missed this moment. Thanks for helping me get through it and sharing it with me."
