Though we all know the holiday season is notorious for helping us pack on a few more pounds, Gayle King is keeping us updated on her weight loss journey. The CBS This Morning anchor is inspiring fans as she shares photos through Instagram posts.

The latest snap from the star is an especially festive photo from The Kennedy Center Honors. King, and a new pal were twinning at the event: The pair sported the same glamorous green gown. The 60-year-old looks fabulous as ever as she smiles and shows off her curves.

"Meet my new best friend Vaughn! We both found what we believe was the PERFECT dress for US to wear to @kchonors ... nice to meet you Vaughn!" the editor at large for O, The Oprah Magazine wrote.

The anchor started Weight Watchers in September, and has been very open with her fans, sharing her weight via social media. Her chic Kennedy Center Honors photo comes just days after she shared a photo of herself standing on a scale showing her followers her latest weigh in.

"Aaargh! I had gotten DOWN to 166.0 Hate when scale goes back UP...sticking with @weightwatchers tho-gonna blame thanksgiving.. WEEKEND. I remember when this was my crisis weight now just grateful !!" she posted.

That's the spirit! The star's best friend, Oprah Winfrey, is a partial owner of Weight Watchers and revealed why she's a fan of the company's weight-loss approach in the January issue of O.

"The folks at Weight Watchers called me in July and asked if I'd join their team—help spread the message about taking a holistic approach to health and fitness. For me, this was a perfect alignment. I was fed up with my lose-and-gain-again routine. I'd had enough of no-carb regimens. Some people can live without bread and pasta, but it just doesn't make sense to me. All the times I tried to do so only made me crave them more. I wanted a plan for life, and here it was in the form of Weight Watchers. For me, this is not a diet. It's a whole shift in perspective. So yes, for sure, I'm a bona fide convert."
