The confirmation that Gwen Stefani is officially dating Blake Shelton sent the world into a whirlwind of gossiping, discussing and, let's be honest, judging—which is exactly why Adam Levine wants to remind everyone that the two superstars are people just like the rest of us.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning, the Maroon 5 singer wasn't afraid to open up about his pals from The Voice.

"They're my friends," he says. "Gwen and I have really bonded lately. She's just the coolest, most wonderful person ever."

He adds, "People don't really realize that they are humans and they have problems just like everybody else. I love my friends, and I support my friends through everything. I've been actually really enjoying getting to know Gwen better in the past two months."

In fact, the No Doubt singer attended Adam's Halloween party last weekend with Blake at her side—a moment that seemed to clarify the two are, in fact, dating. E! News got the exclusive photos of the couple canoodling with their arms around each other while enjoying the spooky celebration.

Then, on Wednesday, the country crooner's reps confirmed to E! News that they are officially dating. They were photographed for the first time as a couple, holding hands as they walked into a Country Music Awards after-party that very night.

The musically talented duo appear to be totally enamored with one another, smiling from ear to ear every time they're together, and E! News has learned they've even penned a song with each other already!

Gwen found her down south roots and joined up with Blake to write a country ballad about telling a lover to leave a relationship if that's what really wants to do (fitting, right?).

We can't wait to hear it!
