As you may have heard this morning, it's been confirmed that Carol Burnett is in talks to play Jane Lynch's Nazi-hunting mom on the Fox hit Glee.

And Lynch couldn't be happier.

We were with her earlier today at the unveiling of her Madame Tussaud's wax figure in Hollywood and here's what she told us...

"I'm thrilled!" Lynch said about the possibility of working with the comedy legend. "I love her. It would just be awesome if we did a song together!"

Lynch has been a fan since the days of The Carol Burnett Show.

"She's probably my first influence," she explained. "I watched her show every Saturday night as a kid. My brother and I would act out some of the scenes. This is before VCRs, that's how old I am, We would actually tape record on an old tape recorder so we would listen to the skits. We just loved the show."
