Mary Murphy isn't the only one who would like to see Tom Cruise as a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance.

"Tom loves the show, so I hope so," new permanent judge Adam Shankman says. "I happen to love Tom, and Tom loves dancing, so it would be great."

SYTYCD host Cat Deeley says Cruise already impressed them when wifey Katie Holmes performed on the show last season.

"I'd never met him before so I had no idea what to expect." Deeley remembers. "He was an absolute sweetheart. He was taking videos of his little girl and wife. Just like any guy, he was incredibly proud of his spouse."

Hmmm, does that mean Holmes might make a return engagement?

Deeley doesn't think so. While she said she thought Holmes' performance was "great," she thinks "once was probably enough.

"It's quite terrifying to go on and do something like that when that's not what you're known for," she said. "I can only respect people who put themselves out there and go for it and try new things and that's exactly what she did."

When we asked Holmes the other night at Elle's Women in Hollywood event if more television dancing was in her future, she simply said, "Maybe, maybe."

Another potential guest judge? Jackass star Johnny Knoxville!

"Johnny Knoxville sends me critiques after every show, emails me these crazy critiques," Shankman said, adding with a laugh, "I would be so rich if I had a nickel for every straight guy who came up to me and told me, 'I know I'm not the demo for this show, but I have to tell you that I love it, man.'
