The buzz about who's going to join Simon Cowell on the U.S. version of The X-Factor continues as the show preps for its first taping tomorrow!
We already know L.A. Reid and Cheryl Cole are set for the judges' table but that still leaves one position open. At one point we thought it might be Mariah Carey or maybe even Nicki Minaj, but nope! And we're still waiting for that big announcement.
But all is not lost. We know the names of the hosts so that's something! And they are...
Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones, E! News has confirmed.
We know Scherzinger as the hot lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls who went solo and then dominated on last season's Dancing With the Stars.
Now who is this Steve Jones guy?
Looks like we've got another British import! The 34-year-old is a big league live TV host in the UK where he's known for shows like the popular music series T4 Music and a BBC celebrity panel quiz show, As Seen on TV. Jones beat out the previous frontrunner, High School Musical's Corbin Bleu, for the gig and congrats from fellow Brits have already started rolling in via Twitter.
"Congrats to Steve Jones on landing the US X Factor co-hosting gig," Piers Morgan tweeted, "great guy, really pleased for him."
Now we're just waiting on that last judge spot. Paula Abdul looks like the current frontrunner, but nothing's been confirmed.
