Mel Gibson's upcoming Jodie Foster-directed flick The Beaver has finally gotten a premiere date set for this March.

But the big question still remains: Could the film set the stage for a Mel Gibson comeback?

"I hope [so]!" Mel's Beaver costar Jennifer Lawrence told us at last night's Kentucky Derby Prelude Party at the London West Hollywood hotel. "I'm really excited for it to finally come out...It's a good movie and he's one of the best filmmakers that's ever lived. I don't think that anybody could take that away."

Meanwhile, Lawrence is prepping for this weekend's Golden Globe Awards. She's up for Best Actress in a Drama for her work in the indie drama Winter's Bone.

"I don't have a dress picked out yet!" the 20-year-old actress admitted. Her top picks include designs by Proenza Schouler, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.

"I didn't realize how much politics goes into it," says the first-time nominee, who just wrapped X-Men: First Class (she plays Mystique). "I just thought I would find something pretty and then put it on. It's much more complicated...I'm ready to just go in anything that Joan Rivers won't make fun of me in!"

FYI: Jennifer—and you!—can find out what Joan has to say about the Golden Globes on a special edition of  Fashion Police, Monday at 10 p.m. on E!

Now, we'd like to hear from you: Is a Mel Gibson comeback even possible? Sound off below.
