AskMen.com's Most Desirable Woman of 2012 hit the Met Gala solo Monday night, and Page Six reports Sofia and her environmental businessman BF Nick Loeb have called it quits after more than two years together.
Are Sofia's sex-symbol status and candid tabloid 'tude to blame for her alleged break-up?
Maybe. 'Cause this is your classic case of a hot female starlet rising to fame and leaving her boy-toy on the back burner.
Not saying that was Sofia's intention—gal is truly as sweet as she seems—but there's no denying that Sofia has become a worldwide sex symbol since Modern Family's debut on the boob tube just three years ago. And Nick? Well, he's still an environmental businessman.
Sofia's popularity was just beginning to bloom when the voluptuous goddess hooked up with the sexy entrepreneur. Now? Gal's busy posing topless for the likes of GQ Mexico, and her 39-year-old curves are nabbing slots on every best-body list far above most 20-year-olds in the biz.
And she's not afraid to admit it:
"My career is because of my look, and I am not ashamed of it," Sofia revealed in the May issue of GQ Mexico."My look has opened so many doors."
So incredibly refreshing to hear the Colombian beauty totally own her success—her candid nature when talking about just how damn desirable she is has to be our favorite thing about the comedy queen. But, it can't be easy to see your girlfriend's breasts being ogled by men across the globe, and we have to wonder whether Ms. Vergara's TMI 'tude played a role in the split.
Sofia's certainly never had any qualms dishing on her perfect bod—she told us exclusively at the Emmy's that she loves talking about her figure and she even 'fessed to us that she went commando at the Golden Globes.
So regardless of whether the rumors of a split are true, there's no denying it has to be tough to date one of the world's most desirable women; similar splits of couples like Macaulay Culkin and Mila Kunis, Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard, and Lea Michele and Theo Stockman are coming to mind.
Either way, Celebuzz reports "it was her [Sofia's] decision" and Sofia and Nick were very different people…Sofia wanted to be wined and dined. Living the life of a Hollywood star, if you like."
Hmm…Sounds just like we thought—at least she'll have no trouble finding a rebound.
