Nothing to see here, folks. Jennifer Aniston is just going about her day.

The actress and famous ex-wife of Brad Pitt surfaced in New York City Thursday in the city that never sleeps—just as news about her former flame fails to rest, too.

Just days after his estranged wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the Allied actor, Aniston popped up in Manhattan donning a pair of light-wash jeans, a black jacket and a tan wide-brimmed hat. Trying to stay incognito, Jen?

As a source told Us Weekly Thursday, "She's being hounded so much that she's leaving town."

Since news broke of the Brangelina split, Aniston has been equally on people's minds as memes flooded the Internet of her theoretical reaction to the breakup. The New York Post even put a photo of the actress hysterically laughing on its front page with nothing but one caption: "Brangelina 2004-2016."

After all, Aniston had been in a high-profile marriage to Pitt when he met Jolie on the set of that fateful blockbuster hit, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The two announced their impending divorce in January 2005, just a few months before the film debuted. Since the infamous love triangle, Aniston remarried actor Justin Theroux in 2015.

Meanwhile, Pitt's side of things have gotten a bit convoluted as the actor was first accused of having an affair with his co-star Marion Cotillard and now, as reported by NBC News, is involved in an inquiry by the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles County about allegations that he was involved in an incident with a child aboard a plane.

While a spokesperson for the DCFS could not confirm or deny to E! News if there is an active investigation taking place due to privacy regulations, some outlets have claimed the actor screamed and got physical with his kids aboard a private plane.

"In response to your inquiry regarding allegations within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States; specifically, an aircraft carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued," the agency told E! News in a statement.

However, a source told E! News, "This comes down to the kind of disagreements that sometimes occur between teenage boys and their father. This is where the situation has spiraled from. And Angelina as a mother can be very protective."

"There is no abuse," the insider said. "They both love the kids more than anything else in the world. Maddox and Pax are very protective of their mother and they are both growing up and developing their own personalities. And while sometimes there is screaming and yelling and they can all get boisterous, there is no huge problems here. Brad's relationship with the older boys is great, but from time to time they have their differences, which is very normal for fathers with teenage boys."

Jolie "has a totally different approach to parenting," the source added. "She has a calmness about her no matter what screaming and yelling and playing might be going on around her. But Brad can sometimes react differently. And it can be difficult to discipline children, especially teenagers."

Both parents have made it clear publicly that their children are their primary focus right now. "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids," Pitt said in a statement to E! News. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."

Geyer Kosinski, Jolie's longtime manager, told E! News in an exclusive statement Tuesday, "Angelina will always do what's in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."
