Victoria's Secret Angel Karolina Kurkova's Cannes Film Festival Gown: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?
Some gals get their dresses from a boutique or a designer.
Then there's Karolina Kurkova, who prefers to strip-mine her gowns straight from the bowels of coal country.
Made from only the finest crude oil and couture slag, this Roberto Cavalli mermaid gown hugged the supermodel with slick precision as she slid around the Cannes premiere of the Brad Pitt flick Killing Them Softly.
Department of Corrections: Vuitton Takes Credit for Brad Pitt’s Gucci Suit at Cannes—Gasp!
Earlier today Louis Vuitton put out a press release taking credit for this rumply suit.
Brad Pitt wore it for a photocall at the Cannes Film Festival, where the 48-year-old actor is pimping his latest movie, Killing Them Softly.
Funny thing: As soon as photos of this disheveled wonder started making the rounds, Vuitton put out a hasty correction...
Brad Pitt Talks Marrying Angelina Jolie While Stepping Out Solo at Cannes—Did He Reveal Wedding Date?
Sure, Brad Pitt may be at the Cannes Film Festival right now promoting his new movie Killing Them Softly, but, not surprisingly, it's his personal life that folks are really focused on.
Namely, his engagement and eventual marriage to fiancée Angelina Jolie.
Jackie Chan Quits Action Movies—but Will He Go Right Back to Work Like These Stars Who Fake-Retired?
Jackie Chan made a surprising announcement Friday: He's retiring from action films.
"This will be my last action movie," the 58-year-old actor said at a press conference for Chinese Zodiac at the Cannes Film Festival. "I will ask my body how long I can go…I tell you, I am not young any more."
But Chan, who said he now wants to be "a true actor" not "an action star," isn't the first star to go back on his word when it comes to throwing in the towel. From Alec Baldwin to Brad Pitt, here five celebs who fake-retired.
Billy Bob Thornton "Blew" Marriage to Angelina Jolie, Didn't Think He Was "Good Enough"
Brad Pitt, take note: Billy Bob Thornton's marriage to Angelina Jolie fell apart because of his insecurity.
Thornton, who was married to the actress from 2000 to 2003, told ABC's Nightline why he "blew it" with Jolie. "I didn't think I was good enough for her," he said. "She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine and I was just too insecure."
Cannes 2012: Five Things to Know About This Year's Sun-Soaked Film Festival
Mon dieu, are you ready to start Frenchin'? Because we are!
The 65th Cannes Film Festival starts today, juicing you up for two weeks of sun-basking, Croisette-strutting joie de vivre at the world's most glamorous film fest.
In other words, expect to see lotsa stars hopping off boats, ascending the Grand Palais stairs and putting on their best Riviera-ready smiles as they stump for the fest's top prizes—and the paps' rabid flashbulbs.
Twenty-two films will be in competition this year, comprising a wide swath of global art-house fare, American indies and good-old-fashioned star-driven vehicles. And if you're wondering about cred, don't forget: The Artist made its debut here last year before choo-chooing its way onto the awards fast track.
Here are five notable things to know about this year's fest…
Hollywood House Swap: Ryan Seacrest, Ellen DeGeneres & Brad Pitt Invade Each Other's Space
Talk about flipping out!
Before Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi decided that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's beachfront home in Malibu was the pile of bricks for them, they put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market. (Added value alert: It was where they tied the knot!)
And now Ryan Seacrest has bought DeGeneres' not-so-humble abode!
All things considered, how much money has been changing hands here?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Rent "Palatial" Home in England
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt just snapped up one fancy rental home.
While the betrothed actors didn't buy the Whornes Place estate in London, it turns out the über-famous couple is temporarily residing in another "palatial" home in the area.
And it looks like they're settling in.
Weekend Mail! Are Jessica Biel's Parents Fans of Fiancé Justin Timberlake?
Dear Ted:
Hope all is well. I have to ask, what do Jessica Biel's family and friends really think of Justin Timberlake. I'm guessing they support Jess unconditionally, but if it were my family, they wouldn't be too impressed! Daddy always said his little girl deserves the best! All the best love!

Dear Timberbiel to the Aisle!:
Despite the recent reports that Jessica's fam disapproves of Justin, I wouldn't jump to any sort of Timberlake-bashing conclusion. True, this couple has had their fair share of rough patches, but what couple in H'wood hasn't. Bottom line: J.T. put a (big) ring on it and Jessica seems happier than ever. I'm sure that's enough for her family and friends.
Dear Ted:
I discovered your Awful Truth years ago while looking for info about Robert Pattinson on the net, and I became a regular lurker. I'm stunned by the fact that after four years Rob and Kristen Stewart, each apart or together, still manage to dominate the threads on a daily base. Every time I see more than 100 comments, I know they're about them, no matter what the article is about. So I wondered: Have you experienced this before? Celebrities (not reality-show attention-seekers) who, unintentionally, have such a passionate, obsessed fandom as Rob and Kris? Thanks a lot.
