All hail Prentiss! You know what is pretty much the only thing that could possibly cheer up a Criminal Minds-loving soul after Shemar Moore's departure last week? Paget Brewster reuniting with the BAU for an episode. Something about Prentiss back with team makes Derek's absence a little easier to take, right? It at least partially fills the Derek-shaped hole in our hearts following his 11 seasons of tracking down evil serial killers.

Of course, we didn't forget he was gone. But while the BAU helped Prentiss nail a copycat serial killer she'd been tracking, it was nice to focus on how psyched everyone was to see her and not how devastated we are that Derek is no longer on the team.

We cannot confirm whether or not we got a little teary-eyed when she did a little Derek impression at the end of the episode (okay, fine, we did), but we can confirm that we were mad jealous that they all went out for margaritas together. Tequila heals all emotional wounds, right?

Anyway, the episode focused on Prentiss hunting down a serial killer obsessed with famous serial killers of the past. The BAU realized that, after taking on famous killers like the Son of Sam, among others, his most likely next stop was Chicago.

They alerted the city, and a college coed called the tip line when she realized he'd spoken to her that afternoon. But then the killer took her and her roommate hostage, leading to a very dramatic situation at the end of the episode in which Prentiss caught her bad guy. Shoutout to the college student who was badass enough to charge at the killer with a pair of scissors, and props to Prentiss for saving the day in the end.

Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS. Next week's episode is about creepy dolls, so prepare for some terrifying nightmares after that one!
