Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West have settled their feud, but as it turns out, there was no real reason for a beef between them in the first place.

In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Wednesday, Wiz elaborated on how he Kim Kardashian's hubby made peace after an apparent misunderstanding further escalated their Twitter row.

DJ Whoo Kid, whose full interview with Wiz will air Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on his Sirius XM Shade 45 show The Whoolywood Shuffle, told the rapper that he personally "never succumbed to the media," and instead "knew it was a communication issue" all along.

Wiz quietly agreed, but he also noted he wasn't the one who took the initiative to clear the air. "I didn't call him [Kanye]," said the rapper, whose ex-wife Amber Rose had also engaged in a since-resolved Twitter tiff with 'Ye. "We have a lot of mutual friends."

Wiz confirmed it was mutual friends who connected him with Kanye, but he was otherwise pretty tight lipped about their peace talk.

"Where was it gonna go?" DJ Whoo kid asked of the drama. "It wasn't gonna go anywhere."

"Thank you," said Wiz.

DJ Whoo kid noted the social media back-and-forth "went a little too far with the children stuff," then told Wiz, "You caught him [Kanye] really bad with the KK thing." (If you'll recall, Kanye mistakenly thought Wiz used KK as a reference for Kim Kardashian's initials and tweeted a later-retracted jab in response. Kanye was promptly informed by the Twitterverse that the KK Wiz was referring to was actually a strand of marijuana and not a reference to his wife.)

Again, though, as DJ Whoo Kid noted, Wiz "caught him really bad with the KK thing, with that one line." But Wiz, not one for subtlety, was quick to re-explain, "It [his KK reference] was weed."

When The Whoolywood Shuffle host confirmed he knew that, Wiz gave a simple, "Oh, OK," then clarified, "I would never go out of my way to disrespect anybody."

In other words, he would never make a deliberate and pointed attempt to insult Kim or anyone else. So, are we all good now, guys? Kanye, Wiz, Kim and Amber are fine, so let's all take a deep breath and chill.
