Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger are no Camelot couple, y'all.

Rumors of relationship troubles first started last month when Patrick was spotted getting cozy with a female friend on spring break in Cabo San Lucas. Miley's man insisted nothing inappropriate went down, pointing out that the co-ed in question was the girlfriend of one of his best friends. This allegedly innocent paparazzi-captured PDA alone wasn't enough to break up Miley and Patrick, but it didn't exactly bolster trust between the twosome either.

Actually, as one source told E! News, the "Cabo thing" caused a huge rift in their relationship. Patrick was "so embarrassed and knows he screwed up," added a source. "He doesn't even know what to do with himself and just wants to hide from the world."  (And to think, just days before that happened, Miley and Patrick were living it up at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland!)

That said, Miley seemed pretty forgiving about the whole ordeal. Just days after her beau's spring break drama, she reunited with the USC student for sushi and fro-yo, kissing and holding hands throughout what seemed to be a loving, low-key date night in L.A.

Billy Ray Cyrus even defended Patrick's questionable spring break behavior, telling TMZ, "He had fun. He's a good boy."

That may well be true, but it doesn't change the fact that he and Miley haven't been hanging out as much lately. As one source told E! News, "No one has seen them together around USC. If they're hanging out he's not bringing her around as much as in the beginning."

And while Miley and Patrick did have lunch together earlier this month, they've each been doing their own thing, too. Miley vacationed in Big Sur with BFF Cheyne Thomas (and no Patrick), and he hit up Coachella with some pals (sans Miley). One source claimed to E! News that the "Wrecking Ball" singer skipped the music festival all together because of her situation with Patrick.

Over the weekend, Miley hit up Joan Jett's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony solo, and Patrick spent some quality time biking with dad Arnold Schwarzenegger.

For now, Miley and Patrick are staying mum about their relationship status. Keep an eye on Instagram, though—a single selfie could put all the rumors to rest!
