Many stars opt not to join Twitter or other social media platforms out of fear of getting in trouble or tweeting something they might regret, but that's not Anna Kendrick. The girl-next-door dazzles on the cover of Nylon and explains why she "doesn't give a f--k" about it.

"Twitter is only 140 characters. There's really not that much I could reveal, then regret later," she tells the magazine. But the self-proclaimed perfectionist does regret some things.

"Of course, me being me, the tweets I want to take back are the ones that I think could've been punchier or more concise," she says.

Two years ago Kendrick, who shot to fame after starring in the Twilight franchise and in Up in the Air alongside George Clooney, cracked fans up when she admitted to having a crush on the same man most people have a crush on: Ryan Gosling. The A-lister cracked fans up back then and continues to make them laugh now, but hopes that Gosling cracked up about it, too.

"Thank God I've never been in a room with him! I don't feel embarrassed, though," she admits. "I'm sure he has a sense of humor. But I'd probably feel like I'd have to address [the tweet], and I'd end up saying something to make it much, much worse."

To be fair, who wouldn't stumble over their words when talking to The Notebook hunk?

Even on the cover Kendrick looks like the best friend you never had, appearing gorgeous while simultaneously appearing like the most fun person to hang out with. But, she says, getting attention from the men she was interested in wasn't always easy.

"The great torture from my teen years into my mid-20s was trying to get attention from guys who were not interested in me—like, at all," she says. "So I'm happy that now my type is a nice guy who likes me back."

"I was a very late bloomer," she adds of her puberty problems. "I was the smallest in my class, always telling myself, 'I'm never getting boobs!' I remember being comforted by hearing that guys like small boobs and big boobs. They like any boobs!' At the time I was like, 'That is excellent news!'"

Although everyone goes through the awkward stage, Kendrick admits that she prefers people who have a little self-doubt, saying it "pushes you and humbles you."

"I would really hate to be one of the three people in the f--king universe who are actually well rounded, because then you can't relate to anybody else's inner s--t," she says.

Kendrick's Nylon issue hits stands Jan. 20.
