The war is coming.

Brad Pitt leads an all-star cast as a sergeant leading a five-men tank crew into Germany during WWII in the soon-to-be-released Fury (in theaters Oct. 17). Fighting alongside Pitt in the David Ayer-directed film are Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal and Scott Eastwood.

And only E! News has this exclusive clip from the movie to show you.

In the clip, the men are among the few survivors of a deadly battle.

Pitt informs his crew that their radio is dead. "We're on our own," he says.

LaBeouf announces, "God didn't call us today—you hear me boys?"

"Big pair of dice?" Bernthal says. "Everyone else came up snake eyes but us."

LaBeouf credits their survival to "the Lord's protection."

"We got it, don't we boys?" says a voice from off-camera.

Everyone shouts, "Yes, sir!"

The clip ends with all the men repeating, "Best job I ever had."

Things got pretty tense on set. Pitt recently told British GQ that he and LaBeouf lost it on Eastwood when they saw him spitting tobacco juice on the tank.

"We were driving down the road, I'm in the turret, Shia is at the other turret, and Scott is on the back, spitting juice," Pitt said. "And I'm starting to get pissed off, I'm starting to get hot, because this is our home, he's disrespecting our home, you know? So I said, in the scene with the cameras rolling, 'You're going to clean that s--t up.' Shia clocks it, and you have to understand, we've been through severe boot camp already. We've been through a lot in this tank. Shia saw it and felt the same—he's disrespecting our home."

Turns out Eastwood's spitting was in the script! "So we were the knobs in the end," Pitt said.

The 50-year-old actor also praised the sometimes-controversial LaBeouf.

"Oh, I love this boy," Pitt said. "He's one of the best actors I've ever seen. He's full-on commitment, man. He's living it like no one else, let me tell you," the actor raves. "I've been fortunate to work with a lot of great actors. He's one of the best I've seen."
