One day after the big wedding news broke, the 39-year-old actress was spotted for the first time post-nuptials on the set of her new movie By the Sea in Malta.
Dressed in all black with a big black sun hat and sunglasses, the newlywed Oscar winner looked happy while boarding a boat with a big bag in tow. Once on board with other crewmembers, Jolie kicked back during the boat ride to their filming location. Earlier in the day, her sons Pax and Maddox were spotted nearby with a supervisor and surfboards as their mom went back to work.
Jolie and Pitt tied the knot last weekend in a super intimate ceremony at their home Chateau Miraval in France. The lovebirds were only surrounded by a handful of guests for the top-secret ceremony.
Pitt was spotted for the first time post-wedding Thursday at a photocall for his movie Fury in Dorset, England. The 50-year-old movie star also flashed his wedding ring for the first time.
Meanwhile, Jolie turned the public's attention from her wedding to issues in Syria by releasing a statement on behalf of the UNHCR today.
"Three million refugees is not just another statistic. It is a searing indictment of our collective failure to end the war in Syria," the human rights activist said. "International stability is steadily bleeding away in Syria. UN Security Council Resolutions are being ignored; war crimes are being committed on a daily basis; regional countries are staggering under the human burden; and Syrian refugees are dying in the Mediterranean Sea, trying to reach Europe."
"We need to see a new attempt to resolve the conflict and greater efforts to support more than 13 million Syrians who are in desperate need," she continued. "The reputation and credibility of the international system is at stake with so many thousands of lives threatened in Syria."
