Do you feel that in the air? That's our palpable excitement over the 2014 Oscars!

The Academy Awards are mere days away, and we're practically giddy at the thought of taking in all the red carpet style. So, we've decided to talk a walk down fashion memory lane and peruse some of the looks from past years.

From Cate Blanchett to Kate Winslet—and everyone in between—we're reminiscing over these actresses' looks through the years. Not until you see the dresses side by side do you really realize how much celebrity style has evolved.

We've got some of the most memorable Oscar looks, like Gwyneth Paltrow's pale pink Ralph Lauren ball gown that she wore in 1999 when she won Best Actress for Shakespeare in Love. Or Halle Berry's daring sheer Elie Saab gown she wore to the 2002 Academy Awards when she won Best Actress for Monster's Ball.
