Amy Adams isn't one to bring her work home with her. And that includes wardrobe—specifically the one from her latest role as a former stripper in the film American Hustle.
"I would not wear most of those clothes in real life," she shared with E! News' Alicia Quarles, explaining it's mainly a functionality problem: "There's just not enough double-sided tape to take me through my life as a mom with those V-necks," she joked.
That's not to say she didn't have a blast while on set. "It was really fun to wear and get to play a character who was empowered in those clothes." As for her cleavage-baring ensembles, she's got a motto about that: "You have to have a laissez-faire attitude about it."
Clearly this sometimes applies to the red carpet too. While promoting the new flick—which also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale—the actress opted for a sheer Elie Saab frock that was almost as sexy as what she wears onscreen.
Clothing aside, she also enjoyed her character's beauty routine: lots of faux tanner. "The tan skin was fun because I have really really pale skin," she said. "That made me feel a lot more confident."
