Donna Karan definitely knows how to throw a birthday bash!
The designer celebrated 25 years of her fashion empire during New York Fashion Week with—what else?—chic collections, and an oh-so-fabulous after-party.
And the designing woman proved her staying power in a notoriously tough business with new looks to fit just about every style.
For the sleek and sophisticated gal, Karan sent safari luxe looks down the runway of her eponymous show, which included flowy frocks in earthy browns and cool blues paired with statement belts and tribal necklaces.
And for the funkier fashoinista, the design guru channeled street chic faves, including overalls, track pants and loud graphic prints in bold black-and white for her DKNY collection.
She called on a few familiar faces for the latter show, tapping top models like Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss to model her designs, as well as DKNY ambassador Rita Ora, who closed the show by dancing to the Beastie Boys' "Fight for Your Right (To Party)" down the runway.
Karan called on Ora yet again for the brand's 25th birthday celebration, which saw the sassy songbird showing off a series of the designers black-and-white outfits decorated with the DKNY logo as she took to the stage to perform.
Ora was joined onstage by other famous faces, including Iggy Azalea who sang a duet with the Brit babe, and Emmy Rossum who danced alongside the songbirds.
And, since no birthday celebration would be complete without a cake, the gals joined Karan, Kloss, and smalls to munch on a cake shapes like—you guessed it!—a New York taxi cab.
