Lamar Odom was released from jail at 8:33 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, on $15,000 bond.

Hours earlier, the 33-year-old athlete was booked on suspicion of a DUI and taken into custody. Khloé Kardashian Odom's husband has been struggling with substance abuse lately, and as a source tells E! News exclusively "hopefully this will be his wake up call."

"Khloé has been trying so, so hard to keep him from hitting a bottom like this," adds the source. "But if this is what needed to happen, then this is what needed to happen."

Khloé, contrary to untrue rumors claiming she wants a divorce, has been committed on helping to get Lamar better. The rest of the family is also supportive, says a source, noting that Khloé only recently disclosed Lamar's substance abuse struggles to them. Kim Kardashian was "shocked" to learn about her brother-in-law's drug problems, but is being "very supportive" of Lamar and Khloé.

Kim "would like to see them work it out," the source adds. "She knows how much they love each other. Everyone in the family feels divorce should be the last option."
