Well, this is one way to increase anticipation for her upcoming album.

Lady Gaga—who is scheduled to perform the first unnamed single from her third studio album ARTPOP at the MTV Video Music Awards next month—recently got her nose pierced, and her makeup artist Tara Savelo posted a YouTube video of the process for all of the singer's Little Monsters to enjoy.

She captioned the clip, which is set to intense electronic music, "haus life."

In the video, Gaga is shown getting her septum pierced, while maintaining an incredibly calm demeanor, as the piercer fits the "Judas" singer with a circular nose ring.

The 27-year-old performer visited the MasterMind Ink Custom Tattoo Studio & Art Gallery in Chicago Monday, and the parlor shared a post-piercing snap on Facebook that shows Gaga dressed down and sporting a fresh face while flaunting her newly pierced nose next to piercer Steve Bennett

Bennett also posted the pic on his Instagram, captioning the shot, "Getting hype with Lady Gaga at my studio in Chicago. (pierced her septum with 16 anatometal seamless)," he wrote

While some Little Monsters are speculating the music in the clip is from Gaga's upcoming album, Savelo shot down those rumors on her Twitter page.

"The music's not from the album, it's from the experience xoxo," she posted Wednesday.

The video has emerged as excitement continues to build for Gaga's upcoming single, with fans eagerly awaiting her upcoming performance at the VMA's—the Mother Monster's first major performance since undergoing surgery due to a hip injury, which forced her to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour.

The songstress recently annouced her new ARTPOP album and app will be released Nov. 11, 2013, with the first single set to officially debut on Aug. 19, 2013.

According to the official press release, ARTPOP "musically mirrors Gaga's creative process as she passes through the mediums of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint of her journey," resulting in "a 'rage' of electronic passion and fury, defining each artist's process from beginning to end."

Can't wait!
