BRAND NEW ON E!
Time for the royal baby to meet Grandma and Grandpa Middleton!
Carole and Michael Middleton arrived at St. Mary's Hospital, just after 3 p.m. local time Tuesday, and entered through those well-watched Lindo Wing doors. This will be Kate's parents' first time meeting the 1-day-old HRH Prince of Cambridge.
They also have a lot of support—from their own families and people all around the world. The Middletons appear to be the first relatives to pay a visit to Kate, Wills and their newborn son, but null is obviously overjoyed by the baby news as well. He told reporters this morning he was "thrilled and very excited" to be a grandfather.
When asked about the baby's name, Prince Charles went mum, saying simply, "It's not clear yet." (If we're to believe the betting public, odds are 2 to 1 that the royal baby will be named James. Remember, though, the gamblers among us predicted Kate and Wills' firstborn would be a baby girl named Alexandra, so take these odds with a dash shaker full of salt.)
So when will we find out the future King of England's name? Kensington Palace said in a statement yesterday the child's moniker "will be announced in due course," noting that Will and Kate are the ones who will decide on the announcement's timing.
So for now, the great Kate wait continues.
