Talk about a fashion flashback!
Sarah Jessica Parker proved the roaring '20s are still very much alive at Wednesday's Serpentine Gallery Summer Party, which was cohosted by designer L'Wren Scott at the Kensington Gardens in London.
The former Sex and the City star made quite the style statement at the event in a metallic fringe dress that had her looking like a fab flapper. Parker stunned in the throwback garment, showing off her gorgeous legs in the eye-catching gold-and-silver beaded mini from Naeem Khan's resort 2014 collection. A nude tulle yoke gave the illusion that the fun and flirty dress was strapless.
As for accessories, the I Don't Know How She Does It star, kept things chic and simple, letting her shimmery dress take center stage. She wore an understated pair of black pumps by the designer she helped make famous during her days on Sex and the City—Manolo Blahnik, of course—and a few Fred Leighton bangles on each wrist. Loose hair with a middle part completed her laid-back London look. And though it may have been hard to tell, she also wore a Fred Leighton's double-stand diamond necklace which blended in with the sparkle of her brilliant mini.
Of course, many leading ladies have also embraced sparkling flapper-inspired looks in the past few months. With the premiere of the The Great Gatsby, which is brimming with elegant looks from the '20s, we've seen many a gal modernizing Gatsby-like looks, including Katy Perry at the 2012 City of Hope Gala and Emmy Rossum at a Jeffrey Fashion Cares event.
Earlier this week, we spotted Parker in another glittering number. The 48-year-old hit up the red carpet at the opening night of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical on Tuesday in London with hubby Matthew Broderick and son James in a stunningly sequined black-and-gold dress from designer Marc Jacobs' resort 2014 collection. Just like she did at the Serpentine Summer Gallery Party, the mother of three, reached for fuss-free black heels and styled her hair down with a center part.
Parker was also joined at the Serpentine Gallery event by Broderick, who posed alongside his wife in a sharp gray suit, windowpane checked shirt and plaid tie. The two made for a dapper duo, though we love that Broderick dressed in muted colors to let his ladylove shine bright in her shimmery Naeem Khan dress!
