Robin Roberts certainly has a lot to reflect back on these days.
In the wake of her highly publicized battle with myelodysplastic syndrome, the Good Morning America cohost has sealed a deal with Grand Central Publishing to release a memoir in spring 2014.
The 52-year-old Roberts will write about her struggle with the rare blood disorder—which resulted in a medical leave of absence from GMA while she underwent a successful bone marrow transplant eight months ago—as well as her inspiring return to the anchor desk.
"I am humbled that many have an interest, and draw strength from my on-going journey," said the journalist in a statement, adding that she's "grateful for the prayers and well wishes of so many people."
Roberts, who's also a breast cancer survivor, received a Peabody award on Monday for chronicling her health problems on Good Morning America. She is also the author of From the Heart: Seven Rules to Live By, which was a New York Times best-seller.
