All eyes were on Beyoncé tonight as the stylish songbird took the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show wearing a seductive black leather costume by Rubin Singer.
Singer, who has designed countless show-stopping ensembles for the critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter and actress over the years, has been working on the elaborate design, which featured a black leather bodysuit, a removable motorcycle jacket, flounce skirt and delicate Chantilly lace detail, since early December.
The magnificent stage costume was based off the designer's upcoming fall 2013 collection entitled 'Valkyrie's Dominion', a nod to Norse mythology's dominant female warriors—a creative vision that clearly hit a high note with the powerful performer.
As for the handiwork and execution of the elaborate design, we're told that no less than five fittings, a team of 14 workers and over 200 man hours at the designer's New York atelier were required to complete the costume.
Python, paneled iguana, trapunto-pick stitched leather, nylon, metal, plastic and silk were just a few of the fine materials used for Bey's major style statement.
And as if that weren't impressive enough, the talented designer also created Michelle Williams knockout stage look, as well as all of the fierce coordinating jackets for the 120 backup dancers (who also rocked Pretty Polly's Secret Socks tights for added shock value!)
Kelly Rowland, on the other hand, wore a custom black leather bodysuit by Emilio Pucci.
One thing's for sure, this might very well have been the most stylish Super Bowl yet!
