First Look: Robin Williams Goes Bald as President Eisenhower in The Butler

Robin Williams likes Ike all right—so much that he's putting on a bald cap to play him.

The 61-year-old comic actor is taking a serious turn as World War II hero–turned–commander in chief Dwight Eisenhower in The Butler.

And by the look of this photo, which has surfaced from film's New Orleans set, for a famously furry guy, Williams has but wisps of his old noggin to bear a close resemblance to No. 34, who was a year older than Williams when he first took office in 1953.

And this isn't the first time Williams has gone presidential, having tackled the role of President Theodore Roosevelt in the Night at the Museum movies.

The Butler tells the tale of a White House butler, played by Forest Whitaker, who served eight presidents over the course of three decades.

The Lee Daniels–directed flick costars Melissa Leo as Ike's wife, Mamie; Oprah Winfrey as the butler's missus; James Marsden and Minka Kelly as John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy, respectively; Alan Rickman and Jane Fonda as Ronald and Nancy Reagan; and Liev Schreiber as President Lyndon B. Johnson.
