Let's get one thing straight: Oprah Winfrey doesn't beg.
She sends a polite albeit wholly policy-violating solicitation, removes it, than apologizes all while not quite getting what the fuss was about.
But she doesn't beg. We know this because in the wake of the fallout from her Nielsen viewer-seeking tweet over the weekend, the OWN honcho has seen fit to tell her followers that. Repeatedly.

If British tabloids are to be believed, then Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey are putting up their dukes (and duchesses) and fighting it out for the chance to be the first to interview Pippa Middleton in conjunction with the holiday release of her party planning book.
The longtime pillars of the airwaves are reportedly pulling out all the stops for first dibs on an hourlong special with Kate Middleton's little sis, with bidding on the interview supposedly reaching as high as $500,000.

It's official! Oprah Winfrey's Leadership Academy for Girls can now claim a class of graduates.
The media mogul's philanthropic school for disadvantaged girls in South Africa held its first graduation ceremony for 72 young women Saturday, after opening its doors in 2007, according to Reuters.

It's been a long road, and three years after opening it's doors, Oprah Winfrey's Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa will be holding their first graduation ceremony this Saturday.
"I've learned so much...I would do it differently, but the fact that we are here is a triumph," Winfrey told ABC's Diane Sawyer on World News airing tonight. "This has been a journey of 8,000 miles. Tomorrow, for me, is about celebrating the journey this has been."

Last week, some buzz started circulating around Wendy Williams when she read aloud to her audience a letter that she claimed was sent from Oprah Winfrey. The purpose of the note was to debunk Williams' speculation that Winfrey and BFF Gayle King's friendship was coming to an end since Oprah's other half was leaving the OWN Network for a new job.
Well, according to King, this letter is fake.
