2012 Comic-Con Preview: Five Can't-Miss TV Stories!

Comic-Con CW, FOX, NBC, ABC

As you can see from our incredibly helpful Comic-Con TV schedule, there is quite a plethora of shows hitting the Con this year. It might be a bit overwhelming when all the TV scoop is coming straight at your face at 100 mph all weekend! (That is, after all, how we plan on delivering it to you.)

To help you go from overwhelmed to just whelmed, we've prepared a list of the top five TV stories that'll be coming out of Comic-Con this year. For example, what's Glee's fourth season really about? What will the new Community showrunners have to say about taking over? Get out a pen and paper (if you still use those), and mark down these sure-to-be-hot Con topics…

Community: You couldn't have possibly escaped all the controversy surrounding creator Dan Harmon's exit from the NBC cult hit, especially since that exit came with a very angry blog post from Harmon and lashing out from the cast. But the show must go on, and with entirely new showrunners to boot. The cast and the new bosses will be at Comic-Con to talk about the fourth (and maybe final) season, and no doubt will be talking about the regime change, as well as the whole Chevy Chase-Harmon voicemail feud. And if we know Joel McHale (and we do), we can count on many snarky remarks about NBC's decision to get rid of Harmon and maybe a jab or two at Chevy.

Fringe: Will the fifth and final season take place entirely in 2036? How much of a role will Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Olivia's (Anna Torv) daughter have in the final season? Will Lost fan favorite Henry Ian Cusick return? These are just a few of our burning questions we're hoping are answered by J.H. Wyman and the gang during their last (sniff!) panel ever.

Glee Adam Rose/FOX

Glee: We've all decided that up until now, not even the cast knows what's happening in season four, save that some of it will take place in New York City and some will take place in good ol' McKinley High. And fans have so many unanswered questions, you better believe those in the audience will do everything they can to get them answered. We're talking rushing the stage or disguising themselves as Comic-Con employees-type stuff. Expect to get some concrete, or mostly concrete, answers about how many episodes certain castmembers will appear in (since all of them will be back), the tentative plan for Finn and Rachel, and maybe some surprise announcements regarding tributes, song covers and guest stars from executive producer Brad Falchuk. Plus, maybe we'll see some cute moments between offscreen couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith!

Once Upon a Time: Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz's radio silence is finally O-V-E-R, which means at last we'll be getting some information on the duo's plans for season two after that insane-in-the-membrane finale. Plus, new series regulars Meghan Ory and Emilie De Ravin will be on hand to share some teases about fan favorites Red Riding Hood and Belle.

BOOKMARK: All the Comic-Con news in one place!

The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder as Damon and Nina Dobrev Bob Mahoney/The CW

The Vampire Diaries: With one of the most shocking finale cliffhangers, it's safe to say we're dying to see what information executive producer Julie Plec will share about our heroine Elena (Nina Dobrev) as a vampire. And though the CW hit just went back to work on Monday, we're sure they'll be bringing a season four sneak peek for its rabid fan base. Plus, it's always fun to watch Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley & Co. get their banter on during the panel.
