Tori Spelling and her mom, Candy, may not always get along, but babies do seem to bring out the best in this contentious mother-daughter duo.

"There is nothing like the happiness and elation of welcoming a new grandchild!" Candy Spelling tells me exclusively through her rep. "Of course, I'm thrilled about little Stella, and now Liam has a sister, which is what Tori had hoped for. This is a very happy time for the family, and I know Aaron would have been overjoyed!"

Tori and hubby Dean McDermott welcomed their second child, Stella Doreen McDermott, to the world June 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Li'l Liam's arrival last year helped heal the rift between the two women, which had reportedly existed since Tori spoofed her mom in an episode of her VH1 faux-reality series, So NoTORIous, and escalated after Aaron Spelling's death.

But for now, peace (and the power of cute, cuddly grandkids) reigns in the Spelling dynasty.
