Aaryn Gries, Big Brother
Gries quickly became highly talked about during the show's 15th season, but not for good reason.
During an episode, Gries was overheard making racist comments about fellow contestant Helen Kim, saying she should "go make rice," and later saying, "I probably look like a squinty Asian right now." She later mocked Asian nail salon workers, saying, "Why you no have boyfriend? It's because you don't want long nail!"
Gries also said how "no one's going to vote for whoever that queer puts up" while addressing gay housemate Andy Herren.
After fans expressed outrage over Gries and the other houseguests' use of racial slurs, CBS released a statement saying their remarks were "not condoned" by the network.
Stassi Schroeder & Kristen Doute, Vanderpump Rules
How could anyone forget the bombshell that dropped between these former besties? Doute confessed to sleeping with Stassi's on-again, off-again boyfriend Jax Taylor, who also happened to be the best friend of Doute's boyfriend at the time, Tom Sandoval. The entire revelation caused some major drama between the group of friends, which proved for great TV, but was almost too much to handle.
Snooki, Jersey Shore
The MTV reality show gave us a lot of scandalous moments, but even now, seven years later, nobody can forget the horrific moment when Snooki was punched in the face by a drunk guy at the bar after an altercation during a night out.
MTV ultimately pulled the scene from the episode, but the fight and its aftermath was subsequently addressed later in the episode, which ended with a message from the loveisrespect and Teen Dating Abuse Helpline organization.
Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers, Real Housewives of Orange County
In what might be the biggest reality TV scandal in recent times, the world is still boggled by the mystery that is Brooks Ayers' cancer diagnosis. Our investigation led to him admitting he had falsified hospital documents, and questions about whether he ever had cancer at all still linger, including whether or not Vicki was in on it the whole time.
"I do believe there were lies being told, I don't know to what level. I mean, I do believe he was sick, nobody can lose the amount of weight that he did. Nobody can throw up and have fevers the way that he did," she tells E! News.
"Nobody would fake going to doctors the way he did. I saw the bills of all of these supplements he was taking. Why would he spend that much money if he wasn't sick? I don't know…there are a lot of questions that I will never know [the answers to] but it wasn't like he was totally healthy the whole time."
Luann de Lesseps & Tom D'Agostino Jr., Real Housewives of New York
The former Countess finally found love again, except her new Prince Charming reminded her that it really is a small world, after all. It turns out Luann's soon-to-be hubby had previous flings with not one, but two castmates—Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer.
Luckily, however, Lu couldn't care less. "Anything that happened before Lu, I don't give a flying leap. Guess what? Nothing you can say, any of you, nothing you can say can change my mind about this guy," she tells the girls.
"We have a real relationship and we're getting married. That's the real deal. So, I don't care who f--ked who. I don't care!"
Kenya Moore & Vivica A. Fox, Celebrity Apprentice
While in the boardroom, Moore defended her team's ability to complete the project to the best of its ability, but pointed to Fox going through menopause as an obstacle. Moore continued to claim that she had evidence that Fox was menopausal, explaining that the actress had tweeted something about it.
When Eric Trump looked at Fox's Twitter feed, he found a tweet that read, "This menopause id [sic] killing me I can't think straight, im acting a damn fool half the time 50 just isnt sexy."
Fox denied tweeting that post, and quickly accused Moore of stealing her phone and sending out the tweet herself, since Vivica's phone had gone missing during the project.
Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett & Hank Baskett, Kendra on Top
Signs that there was trouble in paradise hit the public during a 2014 alleged-cheating scandal, after which Hank acknowledged only that he "messed up," but fans of the couple got a front seat to everything going on between Kendra and Hank during both Kendra On Top and Marriage Bootcamp.
Never one to mince words, Kendra was very open about the struggles within her marriage to the pro athlete, but luckily, the pair see to be back on solid ground again.
Yolanda Hadid & Lisa Rinna, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Yolanda has openly battled her Lyme disease in the public, but during one episode of the Bravo series, co-star Lisa Rinna appeared to question the validity of Hadid's ailment when she read to cast members Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump a definition of Munchausen syndrome, a mental disorder in people "feign disease, illness, or psychological trauma to draw attention, sympathy, or reassurance to themselves."
While their skepticism on such a delicate topic would bother anyone, Yolanda didn't let it get the best of her, and instead responded on her Bravo blog: "I don't blame Rinna, Kyle or LVDP—I understand it and feel sorry to see my battle be such a point of weakness for them," she said. "If I let fear of what others say about me creep into my mind, I probably would not be where I am today."
Jessica Parido & Mike Shouhed, Shahs of Sunset
The couple's marriage, which was anticipated since the beginning of the series, was called off after Parido found out Shouhed had been unfaithful with multiple women, and the drama unfolded right in front of our eyes during the Bravo show.
Landon Clements & Thomas Ravenel, Southern Charm
Suspicions that the friendship between these two have crossed over to more-than-friends territory at some point were at an all-time high after the returned from a trip together. Ravenel's ex Kathryn definitely seems to think the pair had sex, but these two haven't admitted to ever hooking up with each other.
Chad Johnson, Bachelor in Paradise
Johnson already proved to be quite the (unbearable) character during The Bachelorette, and he continued his streak once he reached Paradise.
Aside form getting extremely drunk, throwing a few punches and engaging in a volatile two-hour relationship with Lace Morris, Johnson went as far as calling Sarah Herron a "one-armed bitch" after she called him out for his "abusive behavior." As if that wasn't enough, he also kept calling her "Army McArmenson" during his solo confessionals. SMH.
