Southern Charm's Madison LeCroy Sounds Off on Austen Kroll's Reaction to Her Engagement

Not everyone in the South knows how to mind their manners.

Take, for example, the most recent episode of Southern Charm, during which Madison LeCroy announced her engagement to Brett Randle. The hairstylist was naturally thrilled in the moment, but as she told E! News during an exclusive interview, watching it back was anything but enjoyable thanks to the not-so-nice commentary provided by her ex Austen Kroll and co-stars Shep Rose and Craig Conover.

"Watching that scene," Madison said, "honestly, I was shocked that so many people cared so much."

Over the course of the boys' conversation, Shep joked that Austen should be relieved because he didn't manage to dodge a bullet, but rather "a cannonball," Craig said there was only "a one percent chance" Madison and Brett would make it to the altar, and Austen called Brett "a poor bastard" who's going to be forced to live "a life of servitude with f--king Medusa."

Responding to that last quip, Madison said, "If I was Medusa, he would have been stoned a long time ago. And I take it as a compliment. She has great hair and whether it's snakes or not, it's that volume."

Madison has certainly made her fair share of digs over course of her and Austen's two-year, on-again off-again relationship, but the negativity toward her engagement even continues into the July 14 episode of Southern Charm. And yes, she has something to say about it. "You'll see where Austen's dad said a comment like, 'I'm glad it's not you,'" Madison teased. "Same, Tom—that's his dad—your son is just not husband material. He's not even boyfriend material, and I think we've seen that on Winter [House] and Summer House."

After referencing Austen's failed romances with his co-star, Ciara Miller and Lindsay Hubbard, Madison revealed that she's actually on good terms with most of the Southern Charm men (even if it's just because of their girlfriends).

"I like Paige [DeSorbo]," Madison said of Craig's girlfriend, "therefore, I like Craig. As far as the other guys, I haven't talked to them, but if I were to see them in public, we're cordial."

Until the season eight reunion, that is. "Exactly," she told E!. "That's my favorite place."
