Preparations for Meghan Markle's baby shower are underway! The Duchess of Sussex was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on Tuesday.

The expecting royal, who is due to give birth to her and Prince Harry's first child in the spring, secretly flew from London to New York ahead of her baby shower, E! News confirmed. Cameras spotted Markle, donning Le Specs sunglasses ($70) and a pea coat, cradling her baby bump as she headed out in the city.

Markle paired the look with a Carolina Herrera Matryoshka Locked L Shoulder Bag and Hatch Maternity jeans, available for $248. The Duchess also wore $398 Stuart Weitzman pumps, Solange Azagury-Partridge 'Love' Ring, a bracelet from Bar Jewellery and Pippa Small earrings.

"The flowers were spring colors in pretty pastel shades," a source tells E! News of the floral decorations brought in for the shower. "There were pink roses and cherry blossom vines. There were tons of flowers delivered before the shower started in an unmarked van. There was also a large flat cardboard box that appeared to be a convertible crib."

The pals were spotted having lunch at Café Boulud on Tuesday. The restaurant confirmed to E! News that the Duchess of Sussex was there "with a friend having a lovely lunch."

"She left The Mark at about 1 p.m. and headed uptown to The Met Breuer," a second source tells E! News. "Her friend Abigail was with her and was spotted arriving to The Mark earlier to meet up. Meghan looked great, there was so many photographers around and the street was mobbed with people trying to catch a glimpse of her but she was calm and just very focused and happy."

"They went to have lunch at the Flora Cafe but there were so many people looking through the window that she sat down spoke to someone at the restaurant and got up and left," the insider continues. "They went to Boulud which is nearby and were there until about 3:05 p.m. Abigail walked out holding on to her as if to help steady her friend."

The source adds, "They headed back to The Mark hotel together after. More flowers and deliveries have been arriving at the hotel and everything seems to indicate that she will have her shower this afternoon."

Over the weekend, the mom-to-be was spotted visiting Ladurée restaurant and bakery in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood.

A source told Harper's Bazaar that Markle's trip to NYC was planned months ago, sharing with the outlet, "The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves. This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it's nice to share precious moments."
