Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have maintained a united front since announcing last week that they were divorcing after 10 years of marriage.

The devoted parents have been spending as much time as possible with their three kids, even shuttling their brood out to their home in the Bahamas to ride out the split news in a more peaceful, private setting.

But obviously, after a couple of years of counseling and what turned out to be a 10-month separation before they finally decided to end their marriage, something proved to be the tipping point.

Amid reports that allegations of infidelity and other inappropriate behavior on Affleck's part took their toll on the union, a source tells E! News that their differences in "lifestyle" did indeed help hasten the split.

"Enough was enough," the source said.

We're told that Garner has said that Affleck admitted to cheating and, while some of his other vices, such as drinking and gambling, were one thing—allegedly stepping out with other women was another matter.

Another source, however, denies that Affleck ever admitted to any such thing.

Meanwhile, the previously mentioned insider also insists that the united front is no temporary façade.

Affleck and Garner "are hanging out and making sure the kids are taken care of. It's actually quite amicable."

Garner is currently shooting her latest film, Miracles From Heaven, in Atlanta and Affleck flew back to be with her and the kids last night after a brief sojourn to L.A. for a business meeting. He's then due in San Diego, Calif., for an appearance at Comic-Con with the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice cast.

Construction has been taking place at their home over the last couple months and a source says that the plan moving forward is for Affleck to continue to live on the family's property in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood, but in a different house.

Yet another source adds, "They worked on it for a long time but really had just grown apart. He was told time after time that he wasn't good enough. Eventually that drives someone away."
