As Hollywood continues to mourn the death of Cory Monteith, one can only imagine the pain and heartbreak his Glee costar and real-life girlfriend Lea Michele is dealing with at this time.

The love and chemistry between this pair was evident, especially during this now-bittersweet E! News interview with the actress at a private home in the tony Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles last month for the 12th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, which was Monteith's first red carpet appearance since completing a stint in rehab in April.

And she just couldn't stop gushing about her beau to us.

"We really don't plan it, but sometimes it's like crazy," the actress said in reference to the duo's matchy-matchy style.

"I'll pick something out, totally not knowing what he's wearing at all, and then it'll be the same thing and he'll be like, 'You have to stop doing this!' But this time, I sent him a picture of this and I was like, 'This is what I'm wearing tonight,' and then he picked that!"

But Lea Michele couldn't be mad at her man, especially when he looked as good as he did. "I think he looks great though, doesn't he? So handsome. He's the best," she said with a smile.

Glee and Monteith fans were struck with tragic news last night, when Acting Vancouver Police Chief Doug LaPard confirmed that the actor was found dead at the Fairmont Pacific Hotel after missing his check-out time.

According to LaPard, there were no indications of foul play and they are not discussing what was found in the room. The cause of death was not immediately apparent, but an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Michele has been silent following the news of his death, but her rep issued this statement to E! News this morning: "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time. Thank you."

A source from Glee told E! News, "Everyone is in shock. To say that Cory was much loved on the Glee set doesn't even begin to do him justice."

A rep for Monteith tells E! News: "We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate. We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss."

RIP, Cory.
