American Idol winner Lee DeWyze is a class act, and regardless of which artist you were cheering on, he tells us he's pumped to make some seriously good music for his "amazing" fans. That means you!

And don't worry about the equally fabulous Crystal Bowersox. She's "the happiest girl in the world," even with a broken heart—which for the record was not caused by losing the Idol crown...

Crystal chatted up our very own Ryan Seacrest this morning and revealed some sad scoop from behind the scenes: She and Idol audience regular slash boyfriend Big Tony split Tuesday, just before her last night of performances.

"Big Tony went home," she revealed to Ryan and fellow On Air guest Kara DioGuardi when asked about her emotional rendition of "Up to the Mountain."

"It was a mutual thing," she stated solemnly to her stunned in-studio Idolers. "We're both logical adults. He's a small-town guy—that's fine. I'm a small-town girl, but I want this more than anything. I want this career, this lifestyle, and I didn't think he was up for it. And he didn't think he was up for it. I'm a little sad he did it on performance day, but it put a fire in my belly."

Still, Crystal was hoping Tony might show up to support her at last night's finale. "But he didn't," she said. Sigh.

True, she's a little heartbroken, but Crystal's not dwelling on it. She's actually A-OK with the Idol outcome, and is ready for whatever's next. "It's just amazing," she told us backstage after last night's results. "It's not something that can be summed up into words. I need a couple weeks to sit and write it out. It's crazy, I love it."

A crazy ride she's totally on board with: "I love the go, go, go. My life never will be the same, but I'm not changing; the world around me is."

Crystal also dished about sharing a special postshow moment with her biggest cheerleader from the get-go, Simon Cowell. "Right after they said Lee was the winner, I went over to the judges table. And [Simon] gives the wink and I'm winking back at him," she said. "He just gave me a hug and said, 'I'm sorry' and I said, 'Don't be sorry for me, I'm the happiest girl in the world right now.' "

No, we haven't forgotten about little ol' Lee. The lovable guy was in such shock immediately after last night's win (look at his face on the right!), we were barely able to get complete sentences out of him! So we'll just let you live vicariously through Lee's wonderfully excited sentence fragments of joy:

"Like nothing I've ever felt before in my life," the Idol gushed. "You set out to do something, and then you accomplish it, that's how it feels. It's incredible. I went on American Idol to make a better life and career for myself. And I feel like I have. What do you say? Just thank you, everybody. Thank you so much."

Already planning his next move, Lee managed to mutter: "When I put out an album, it's going to be different than standing on the stage for a minute and half singing songs, and that's a hard thing to do. I dunno, I can't find the words right now."

And lucky Lee got his own goodbye from Simon, too. "He came up to me and told me, 'Just so you know, I'm happy for you and you really deserve this.' That really meant a lot because that was off camera, it wasn't for anyone else but me. He's an awesome dude, and I appreciate everything he's done."

And there you have it. Some sad and not-so-sad news from this year's Idol gang. We'll be chatting with both Lee and Crystal tomorrow morning, so send any other burning Q's our way.
