This Just In: The Latest on Chuck, Vampire Diaries and Cougar Town
Chuck: The new Chuck promos (one above; three below) have us so amped about the new season, starting Jan. 10, we have to share some exclusive scoop: Spoiler alert! Smallville's Kristin Kreuk will be smooching the Chuckster, Brandon Routh will be smooching Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Morgan (Josh Gomez) and Anna (Julia Ling) will be no more. But despite all that, there still will be plenty to make you fans happy, including evil Angie Harmon and general asskickery (see promos below)...
Vampire Diaries: James Remar sure knows how to spawn hot sociopaths! Dexter's daddy (who recently spilled some scandalous Trinity scoop) is coming to Vampire Diaries to play Stefan and Damon's father. Remar reveals his character is an aristocrat from the Civil War era, and he'll be on for more than one episode.
So You Think You Can Dance With the Stars: SYTYCD judge Mary Murphy and DWTS' Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo will join the cast of Broadway's Burn the Floor on Jan. 12.
Margo in Vail, Colo.: I read that something happened with Courteney Cox that shut down the set of Cougar Town. What's the latest?

Ever since Kim Raver (whom Cristina named "Desert Storm Barbie") was introduced on Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy, our inbox has overflowed with messages from fans wanting to know what's next for their favorite couple, Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd), now that Kim's character, Dr. Teddy Altman, is in the mix.
Well, we just talked to Kevin himself, and he admits that he, too, was concerned at first about the triangle, but he warmed up to it, and tells you fans why you might want to keep an open mind.
Oh, and if you want to know what's next for Glee (Christmas song!), Vampire Diaries (dish from Kevin Williamson himself) or Desperate Housewives (who won't die?), we have that too.

Is Taylor Swift Headed to Vampire Diaries?
Paging Taylor Swift: Mystic Falls is calling you!
Or more precisely, Kevin Williamson. The man behind the CW's addictive new series Vampire Diaries reveals that he has approached Taylor to guest star on the series as a...wait for it...vampire. What would her vampalicious secret boyfriend say?
Though no deal has been struck, and Kevin fears she's "too big for Vampire Diaries now," the writer-producer is still hoping something will work out.
"I'm desperate to have [Swift] come play a vampire," Williamson says. "Wouldn't she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa Interview With the Vampire type? Oh my god, I cannot tell you how hard I'm trying to get her—I would kill to have her on the show!"
Turns out it would take a lot less than murder to get another certain pretty face who's surprisingly still tied to the show...
Twilight, True Blood, Taylor Swift Suck Up People's Choice Nominations
The People's Choice Awards are getting ready to throw a vampire party of their own.
In a surprise to no one, least of all millions of screaming fanggirls, Twilight leads the list of honorees for the 36th Annual PCAs, scoring six nominations, including Favorite Movie (a shoo-in if ever there was one) as well as individual nods for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Together, the trio is up for Favorite On-Screen Team, while Pattinson and Stewart also earned nods for Favorite Movie Actor and Actress, respectively.
Meanwhile, Anna Paquin's more mature vampfest True Blood is up for three nominations, including Favorite TV Obsession and Favorite TV Drama Actress for Paquin herself. Rounding out the bloodsucking trifecta, The Vampire Diaries also scored two nods, one of which—Favorite TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy—pits it against the HBO show. Get ready for a bloodbath.
As for other nominees, as no awards show is complete without her, Taylor Swift also scored three nominations, including Favorite Female Artist, while Miley Cyrus earned two.
Rounding out the boldfaced names up for awards are perennial faves Hugh Laurie, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Hugh Jackman, Chris Pine, Blake Lively, Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Beyoncé, Susan Boyle, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Matthew Fox and E!'s own Chelsea Handler, whose Chelsea Lately laughfest scored a nomination for Favorite TV Talk Show.

Kristen Stewart's Near Run-In With Vamp (Not R.Pattz)
Kristen Stewart just can't get away from vampires, even offscreen.
The New Moon actress is back in L.A. and was just spotted leaving the L'Ermitage Hotel with a dude other than Rob Pattinson—and almost bumping into Vampire Diaries star Kayla Ewell.
With her dyed-black hair pulled back under a backward baseball cap and sporting her signature Raybans, Stewart talked to a few fans who caught her pulling out of the garage in a souped-up silver Dodge Magnum.
K.Stew attempted to remain incognito at first but admitted her star status after the persistent fans peered into the vehicle.
"Thanks," she simply smiled as the fans complimented her on her work.
As for the guy she was with?
Vampire Wars (With Bonus Twilight Round): Who's the Best Good Vampire?
Welcome to the climactic final battle of Vampire Wars! We've been pitting three structurally similar vampire-tastic TV series against each other, and now it's time to decide which show has the sexiest vampire with a heart of gold. These guys are built to kill and eat nubile young things, but in each case, a chance encounter with a very special nubile young thing causes them to instantaneously mate for life and get all heroic, violating a bunch of standard protocols of vampire-dom.
Your choices this round are David Boreanaz's Angel from Buffy and Angel, Paul Wesley's Stefan Salvatore from the breakout CW hit Vampire Diaries, and Stephen Moyer's Bill Compton from HBO's supernatural party bus True Blood.
Then, since the "good vampire" industry has been dominated of late by a certain Edward Cullen from the Twilight saga, we're offering you a bonus round, where you can decide between those first three and your boo Edward. (Plus, inspired by on a fan suggestion, we even set up a nonofficial do-over of the Best Heroine round that includes Bella Swan. We're expecting an epic Buffy-Bella throwdown in that category!)
You'll be able to cast your votes throughout Halloween weekend. If you didn't already cast your ballot for Best Heroine, Best Evil (Yet Hot) Vampire, Best Best Friend and Best Xander/Wayward Little Brother, what are you waiting for? We'll declare the final winner of Vampire Wars on Monday in the spoiler chat. (Hint: Things are looking good for a certain Slayer, so True Blood and Vampire Diaries fans need to step it up if they want a chance at winning!)

The Vampire Diaries: Get Ready to Be "Shocked and Confused"
Something huge is going down tonight. Something scary huge.
We were on the Atlanta set of the addictive new CW series The Vampire Diaries for tonight's big Halloween episode, and here's what you need to know:
"There's actually so many surprises, and it [something] is very much a shocker to audiences," star Paul Wesley (Stefan) told us during a break on set. "It's a sort of brutal-and-violent-and-sudden-and-out-of-nowhere-something that happens, and I think people will be very shocked and confused. Blindsided I should say."
"The Halloween stuff is crazy!" Nina Dobrev (Elena) adds. "People are going to be shocked. They're going to be really surprised at how quickly and how many risks we take. We're not playing it safe."
So what goes down?
Vampire Wars Doubleheader: BFFs and Little Bros
Every center-of-the-universe TV heroine needs a great best friend to keep her grounded, and the leading ladies of our three vampire shows are no exceptions. For that matter, these girls (don't call them sidekicks!) bring their own mojo to the party. Buffy's BFF Willow (Alyson Hannigan) on Buffy the Vampire Slayer turned out to be pretty much the most powerful witch evar, Elena's best friend Bonnie (Katerina Graham) on The Vampire Diaries has second sight, and Sookie's beloved Tara (Rutina Wesley) on True Blood is so saucy and snarky, it's almost a superpower. But which bestie is best? That's what we have Vampire Wars for, silly! So you can tell us!
And in today's Vampire Wars doubleheader, we're also asking you to choose the most essential helpless mortal young'un.
Jump inside to tell us which Zeppo you prefer: Sookie's libido-driven ditzy sibling, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), Elena's drug-addled baby bro, Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) or simultaneously valiant and cowardly Sunnydale native Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon)—Xander's not technically a little brother, but he sure does give off that vibe, doesn't he?
Trouble Keeping Up With FlashForward? Nope
FlashForward, The Vampire Diaries and The Real Housewives of Atlanta don't have a thing in common. Except that they do.
We'll find out what as we play good week, bad week in the latest TV ratings quiz:
1. Was it a good or bad week for…FlashForward? Good week. ABC got to brag that the Thursday night series is TV's most DVR'd freshman, packing on nearly 2 million viewers over the course of a week. In the latest Nielsen rankings, the show finished 29th, with a 9.9 million viewers (and counting).
2. …The Vampire Diaries? It got picked up for the rest of the season, its reruns are going to replace Melrose Place's on Wednesdays, and its Thursday night rerun last week outdrew all-new episodes of 90210 and Dollhouse, so, yeah, the CW show's good.
3. …Housewives of Atlanta? Good week. Sorry, make that great week.
Spoiler Chat: Is There Any Hope for Glee's Puck and Rachel?
Move over, Brad and Angie. Hollywood has a new power couple!
They might be slightly less glamorous—he's a Mohawked jock; she's a Slurpee-covered geek—but they are currently E! Online readers' most-asked-about pairing.
We're talkin' bout Puck (Mark Salling) and Rachel (Lea Michele) of course (no, not the ones from The Real World: San Francisco), about whom you Glee fans are apparently obsessing after the latest episode. And how can we blame you? After all, he evoked the magical courtship powers of Neil Diamond! And they are pretty. Darn. Cute.
So is there any hope they'll become a real couple?
Read on for the scoop on that. Plus, stop the presses! We're hearing of a One Tree Hill life-or-death shocker on the way! And want to know which dead father is making a hugely surprising comeback? Is it Lost's Christian Shephard, Gossip Girl's Bart Bass, Supernatural's John Winchester or Dexter's Harry Morgan? Read on for the answer...
Pauline in Paris: I'm in love with Puck and Rachel from Glee! I never thought they would happen, but the last episode was beyond amazing. They have the most perfect chemistry! Please tell me there's more to come!
Vampire Wars: Who's the Best Evil (Yet Hot) Vampire?
"And you’re what, shocked and disappointed? I’m evil." —Spike
Vampire Wars continues! As we explained earlier this week, we've decided that, structurally speaking, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood and The Vampire Diaries are all the same show. Girl meets soft-hearted vampire, girl enters bizarre world of the occult, girl gets mixed up in some stuff, girl hooks up with hard-bodied other vampire, wackiness (and bloody good scandal) ensues.
But which of those wicked, supersexy vamps is the best? It's time to decide who's the best evil (yet hot) TV series vampire, and you have to make the nearly impossible choice between James Marsters' bitingly funny Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alex Skarsgård's Viking vampire Eric Northman on True Blood, and Ian Somerhalder's devilish Damon on The Vampire Diaries.
So...who do you love? Tell us in the poll below!
