Jon's New Kate Speaks: "I Am a Nice Person"

In a bid to silence her naysayers, Kate Major is doing for herself what Jon Gosselin has yet to: coming to her own defense.
"As a journalist, I get it," the 26-year-old former Star reporter exclusively tells E! News of her sudden status as blogosphere whipping girl days after she hooked up with the Jon & Kate star.
"I realize being in the public eye often means facing criticism and being a target of hurtful lies. It simply comes with the territory."
Still, the woman now known as Kate 2.0 has a message for all those haters:
"I just want people to know that I am a nice and genuine person and anyone who knows me knows that."
