Kate Gosselin sure went out with a bang yesterday.
Not just because the series finale of Kate Plus 8 provoked its fair share of tears and "aw" as viewers were treated to copious montages showing the eight Gosselin kids through the years.
No, the bang came from the divorced mom—who has publicly admitted being a bit terrified about what her future holds now that the cameras are off after seven years—suggesting that earning money the non-reality-TV way is "mediocre."

It's the end of an era for Kate Gosselin.
The Kate Plus 8 matriarch, whose run as a series regular on TLC ends tonight after seven seasons, understandably has mixed feelings about the future—excitement over what's around the corner and panic that keeps her up at night about being "unemployed for the first time in forever."
But one thing's for sure: Kate has zero regrets.

If Kate Gosselin wants to be on TV, that's her business. But guess who's pretty pleased that his kids' days in front of the camera are over? (Minus the inevitable specials and periodic check-ins TLC will inevitably run over the years, of course.)
Let's just say that, while Kate reacted in a positive manner regarding the cancellation of Kate Plus 8, Jon Gosselin is downright psyched.

Kate Gosselin's Non-Jon Reality Series Axed by TLC

Kate Gosselin could only make it on her own for so long.
The current season of Kate Plus 8, which premiered last week, will be its last, TLC announced Monday.
"TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8," a network rep said in a statement. "By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."
We bet they will!
