The Burn Notice guy just got burned.
Apparently, one shouldn't mix booze with Benadryl (who knew?!).
Thankfully, however, Jeffrey Donovan won't be wiped off the grid or anything drastic, but he may have a little future driving dramz.
The 41-year-old actor was pulled over and arrested in Miami Beach on Sunday, July 12, for suspicion of drunk driving, E! News confirms. He was charged with a DUI.
According to the police report, the star's black 2009 Audi nearly collided with the arresting officer.
"I heard a loud tire screech behind me and observed a set of headlights approaching," the lawman wrote. "I then observed this vehicle quickly swerve to the left in order to avoid striking the rear of my vehicle."
Donovan refused a breathalyzer test, but the cop had already seen plenty.
"[He] had bloodshot/watery eyes," the report says. "I asked the def. if he was alright, to which he answered, 'Sorry, I didn't see the red light or your stopped car.' I then smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the def.'s breath and observed the def. had a flushed face."
Donovan admitted he'd had three drinks at the Fontainebleu, but later said, "The only mistake I made tonight was drinking Benadryl with three glasses of wine."
The only mistake? Hmmm...
