For a few months now, we've been seeing a trend we like to call the Double Lutz: dresses that are formal ball gowns on the bottom, but all Michelle Kwan figure skater on top.

Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have both dabbled in this look in recent weeks, with mixed results—unless you're a huge fan of ice dancing, in which case, hey, 10 out of 10 for you.

Now comes Keira Knightley, deep into her Anna Karenina Oscar bid promotional whirlwind. As Double Lutzes go, it's...OK. It's maybe a 7.5, or an 8. It fits fine, but it's maybe too Helen Mirren for an actress who's only 27.

Then again, maybe she's gunning for a spot in the next Winter Olympics. Take that, ice dancers.
