Hunger Games: Taylor Swift's "Safe & Sound" Video

More from The Awful Truth

So Taylor Swift may not have nabbed the Grammy for Best Country Album, but she's scored another huge win already this year.

And no, we don't mean those other two trophies she took home for her hit "Mean." We're talking about another song of hers—"Safe & Sound"—which is the first single of the hotly anticipated Hunger Games companion soundtrack.

Well, now there's a HG-inspired music video to accompany it! So tell us, is T.Swift the perfect tribute?

Grammys Light Up for Adele, the Foo Fighters and Kanye West

Adele Kevin Winter/Getty Images

In both spirit and the flesh, this was ladies night.

With the memory of six-time winner Whitney Houston an inescapable presence in the room at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, Adele punctuated her triumphant comeback from throat surgery with her own six Grammys, including Album, Record and Song of the Year.

"Oh my God...thank you so much, thank you! Hello!" trilled the delighted songbird, who was awash in happy tears as she ascended the stage to receive the night's top honor for the competition-obliterating 21.

Carrie Underwood/Adele/Katy Perry/Taylor Swift/Fergie split

Looks like it's a cover-up!

Perhaps in a nod to the more subdued mood tonight due to Whitney Houston's shocking recent death, many stars hit the Grammys red carpet in demure gowns.

Of course, each diva gives this look her own personal spin...

Ah, the Grammys.

Let's face it. Music's biggest night can often be the craziest night as well.

From what the famous faces show up wearing (hi, Lady Gaga!) to the elaborate performances, we can usually expect the unexpected.

And then, of course, there's what can be heard coming out of these talented artists' mouths—not when they're singing, mind you, but simply speaking.

So check out the 13 Best Things Ever Said at the Grammys (at least until tomorrow!) and see what we mean!

Morning Mail! Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: A Hairy Situation?

More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
I work at the lodge in Canada where Justin Timberlake came to celebrate his B-day last weekend. Jessica Biel was there, but it took me a while to recognize her with the new bangs. I didn't see an engagement ring, though. Unlike you, I like them together and maybe if you saw the way they interacted with each other you might as well. Very sweet and cute. My question is, Do you really believe they are engaged? Do you think they are hiding the ring to avoid any hoopla? I mean, Grandma Sadie did confirm it, right?

Dear These Bangs Are Made for Marrying:
I firmly believe they are engaged, regardless whatever they're saying or wearing. Now, whether or not Justin and Jessica actually end up getting hitched is anybody's guess. My hunch is that they will. He's put her through too much as it is.

Dear Ted:
That's not cool that you called Rooney Mara snooty and Kristen Stewart fab. Kristen can be a bit bitchy sometimes and childish. People who have worked with Rooney have said she is a sweetheart and very down-to-earth and simple. So why bash her and put Kristen Stewart up on a pedestal? C'mon, Ted, I know you're not that big of an ass-kisser now, are you?

Morning Mail! Is Gwyneth Paltrow Brewin' Love…or Trouble?!

Jake Gyllenhaal, Gwyneth Paltrow Todd Williamson/Getty Images
More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
In the past week, Gwyneth Paltrow enjoyed a night on the town with Reese Witherspoon as well as dinner with Taylor Swift. Given that both Reese and Taylor have famously dated Jake Gyllenhaal—one of your Blind Vice Superstars—and rumor has it Gwyneth played matchmaker in at least one of those pairings. So I have to ask...is G.P. in the know about Jake's Vice?
—Regan

Dear GOOP for Two:
It's not like Jake's Vice makes him undateable…actually, quite the opposite for someone like Reese. That said, I'd probably trust Gwyney more with tips on making the tastiest free-range organic chicken pot pie or on some Waspy cleanse than with her dating tips. But then again, maybe it's time she find Jakey-poo a new love? What do you think?

Dear Ted:
Oscar actress noms feel so predictable. Play ugly, real-life, or a "worthy" role and get a nom. Not that Viola Davis isn't fab but I'm kinda bummed that my girl-crush Emma Stone is totally neglected (I thought she was the official leading actress in The Help?). You need skill to be a charming, sweet heroine…but that's an Oscar no-go.

Morning Mail! Is Les Miz Better Sans Taylor Swift?

Taylor Swift Ed Rode/WireImage
More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
God has decided that we had been tortured enough. I am so happy I could cry. I know you and I disagree about Taylor Swift. But I honestly would have rather had the corpse of Walter Matthau being lip synched in by Terry Fator as Eponine over Swifty. She simply isn't Eponine. Cosette? Oh hell yes. Would have made a decent Cosette. Do not make me come over there to explain this to you again. I have had a terrible seven days. So this is somewhat helpful. This chick did a great job at the 25th anniversary concert and was very believable opposite Nick Jonas. Enough said. All my love.
Kate

Dear Swiftly Gone:
Hmmm, some harsh words you have for T.Swift, babe. Thing is, Tay's already proved to the world she's got talent for days (gal's been named Entertainer of the Year twice at the CMA awards), but obviously someone thinks Samantha Barks can do Eponine better. Still too soon to say how Ms. Barks will fair in her big screen break, but in the meantime, we suggest you take a stab at writing a song—always works for Tay when she has some built-up anger!

Dear Ted:
OMG Kristen Stewart is soooo unique! What a rebel! I've never seen a young hipster girl flip anyone off!

The country world just keeps coming up Chesney.

Kenny Chesney led the way this morning when Reba McEntire announced the nominees for the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (that's the ACMs, not to be confused with the CMAs, the CMTs or the ACAs…phew) with a leading nine nominations, including the most prestigious nod of the night, Entertainer of the Year.

Hot on his honky-tonk heels was Jason Aldean, who scored six nominations, followed by Lady Antebellum with five, Brad Paisley with four, and Toby Keith, Eli Young Band, Grace Potter and country darling Taylor Swift with three apiece.
